Some things I'd like to see with the next Big ZX...

Start with a 90mm bore and 60mm stroke
36mm/32mm valves
Finger followers with long over sized pads
19 deg included valve angle
Spread the bore spacing out 6mm
Radial squish band with a dish piston
Reduce the clutch basket dia 1 inch and add 4 frictions to the stack
Keep enough clearance for +12mm stroke
Go back to a separate block like the 12r
49mm throttle bodies
Duel injectors/ upper shower head style
Proper cams
Indexable adjustable cam gears in 2 degree increments +/- 10
Varriable cam timing
Adjustable cam sensor trigger
Reverse flow cooling
Side loading tranny
Large output shaft bearing and extra case support cast in
A decent and proper ram air system
A proper sized air filter

Off road race parts right from Kawi offering....

Software package to edit the ECU
Larger replacement injectors
A few different sets of cams
A few different sets of pistons
Big bore blocks
Stroker cranks

There's more but....

If this bike went into production and shipped with 225 rwhp i think it would sell like hot cakes.
And there would be enough room for future expansion, quickly to compete with anything that the other manufacturers did. The platform could last for 10 years or more.

The focus seems to be more power here. Power is pretty good to date. I would like to see more precision and weight loss thru better engineering. I bet most of us use FULL power only .02% of the total riding time (except strait-liners). Too much power equall less reliability. Just my opinion...

There is never enough of too much power otherwise power upgrades wouldn't exist :P

My point with many of the items on the wish list is to allow the ability for the engine to be modified.

The Busa engine is much more friendly to modifications. And that's the reason it out sells the zx14 so badly.

Kawi needs to consider that the consumer makes choices on upgrade-ability and not just what a bike looks like or what its specs are at the time of the sale.

The integrated block and crankcase was a HUGE mistake on their part. As was the non symmetrical intake ports.

Y2K nailed it if they made a 1500CC 225 horse bike that had potential to be modified for even MORE horsepower I'd be waiting in line!!!!
