New to the Form and to the ZX-14!!

JSmooth I am new here, I just bought a 2009 ZX 14 SE, after selling my 2003 Hayabusa. So before I get bashed let me say this first. I have always wanted a ZX -12R coming up and due to credit issues with an ex wife I wasn't able to get one. I ended up getting a friend of mines 2003 Hayabusa after re-deployment to Iraq OIF 2. I kept it rode it hard liked it but wasn't in love with it kinda like the girl up the street. Any case after about 4 years I sold it and waited for the right 14 to come out. I tend to do extensive research on motorcycles especially this one and since Kawasaki was coming out it with there II generation motorcycles I opted to wait until 09. I think I made a very good choice on getting this one and I have also convinced other Hayabusa owners who were in between on where their loyalty lies to switch over after seeing what this bike here can do. No I am not on any ban wagon of any sort. I have always felt that Kawasaki's have always had stronger motors. So any shared knowledge would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks all, I have already seen that I have caused an uproar here at home already. Most that I have talked to call me trader and so forth and most that know me say "it's about time". I talked about this bike for years even when I road a Hayabusa I wanted to give it away so I did kinda sold it for 6500.00 book value was 7800.00 at the time. Had all the aftermarket parts you could possibly want for riding. No I am not a tourer type rider, I love to ride and get after it. It's good to be the minority cause you turn heads every where you go and everyone wants a shot at you. I call that ADVERTISEMENT!!!!

Welcome JSmooth -- did ya bring your sleepin bag? This place is like a fun slumber party for rocketeers!! More the merrier!! Always a wealth of knowledge to be had in this place and I can't stay away myself. My wife says I'm addicted. But I'm a 1 year old noob to the 14 lifestyle -- I'm still used to GP talk with all the 6 and liter folk........so, I'm still adapting here.

Hey Fellow Rider!! Welcome!! You made the right choice!! without a doubt... I just wanna say thank you for serving your country and if it werent for guys like you we would not be able to enjoy the awsome times we all share on the greatest two wheeled machine on earth!! HHOORRAAHH!!! Anyway...All i have to say is that watch out for those corners becuase the 14 is way more agile than the busa...I can only make that statement not because its true, but because I have ridden a busa and own a 14...lol...Enjoy!!!
