Other rides/previous bike thread....

Besides the beastly ZX14 you guys ride, what else do you ride or have owned previously?

here are mine:

First and foremost my first bike/learner bike a 1992 Kawasaki ZX6 or what some people have called it, the Tom Cruise top gun bike lol. I sold it back in Dec 2008

My Second bike i bought brand new in Nov 2008, a Suzuki GSX-R750 in which i still ride:

My third bike is a 2002 Honda VFR800 (i wanted a comfy touring type bike at the time but i just realized i want more power) I sold this in Feb 2010

And of course who can forget the beast! my 2006 Kawasaki ZX14 :P

Well thats my short motorcycle history, im sure some of you have gone through a whole bunch of them before moving up to the beast . I still would like to own a naked sportbike like a Ducati Monster or Z1000-ish kind of bike.

Yea its kind of a surprise since the only new bike i have ever bought was my Suzuki GSXR750, the rest have them been low mile second hand ones. Usually when i shop for bikes i wait it out until i find the one i fall in love with.

I got my first bike when I was 11 yrs old and my zx14 last spring........my shortlist over 25 years like this --
'77 XR75 - beat this poor little guy to death for 2 years
'87 CR125 - completely destroyed this bike within 6 months of new
'77 RM250 - salvaged this little screamer from a trash heap
'84 CR250 - had to reassemble this one out of crates, but an awesome woods weapon
'81 IT465 - got it cheap, and after riding it I figured out why.......widowmaker!!
'82 KZ550LTD - my first street ride - good bike to learn on
'96 CR250R - process of rebuilding it now - blew the trans last fall!
'97 YZF1000R - Bike of the year in '97 - great track machine after Ohlins/cam degree/gearing
'08 ZX14 - The best bike I've owned and/or ridden......period.

This was my last bike. I only had it 2 months and got tired of riding at the time then sold it. 2002 Zx6r

This was the one before that. Had it a few years but my heart was always with sportbikes. My dog Pugsley ready to pee.

This is one I currently own and by far the most physically demanding.

I'll play, I'll play!

I used to have a Rott/Pitt mix that as a puppy up to about 6 months or so would ride to work at a gas station with his legs splayed on each side of the tank, and his front paws over the handlebars. Had a GREAT time with that bike.

THE year that all manufacturers came out blazing with their baddest. Wish I still had it.

Bought it from a friend I used to ride with. It was beat to shit, but still very fast. Would wheelie easier than a dirt bike.

Somewhere in the 90's I had an old piece of crap Suzuki 550 UJM. If I had it now, I would teach the wife how to ride on it.

Da Bird! Street raced the dog out of this bike. Bullet proof, comfortable, and fast.

2008 ZX-14 stock

2005 Ducati 999. On rails. Slobber, slobber, drool, drool...

Once I got my twisty bike, the 14 was stretched to a bit over 63". Best overall bike I've ever owned.

Oh yeah, the non-motorized kind. I have a mid-eighties Schwinn road bike that I ride to just workout. Heavy MF. In the pic in my old neighborhood, that's my mountain bike; thing is awesome, and yes, quite expensive. In the background is my Walmart fully suspended Mongoose. That one is a tank, I've beat the living crap out of it for years and it just keeps chugging along. I think it weighs 427 lbs.

Hey smokehouse4444 -- I've got the same silver '08 ZX14 but my mountain bike is a Diamondback X6 -- and i should probably pedal it around more than I do, but why when I've got a perfectly sound 14 in the garage?
