ZX10 radiator on ZX14 ??????
Cant seem to find a good ,reasonably priced radiator for my 14 so I started looking at 06-07 ZX-10's and they look very similiar (except silver) but I cant find one local to get the dimensions off it. Anybody ever try this swap or have one available to measure? I need the inside measurement of the top mounting tabs that bolt to the frame. The rest I can fabricate.
Thanks

I wonder if Kawasaki would list dimensions for these somewhere, like a technical website or possibly from their customer service dept.? I haven't found anything, but just trying to think outside the bun

I've never looked at one myself but my concern would be this !
The radiators design would be to cool a specific engine displacement. Huge difference
in the 10 and 14. The 10 is more of a factory race bike so things are kept as small and
lite as possible. The 14 can run hot with the designed radiator so if you find the 10 has
even the slightest difference, I would'nt consider it an option.

This is a race bike so it wont be ran for prolonged periods. We run "cut" radiators all the time on turbo bikes or extreme lowered bikes that need the clearance. Even run dry blocks. So if it will bolt up it will work.
Thanks

Hell, if it's just for drag use and you're not "hot lapping" I don't see why it would be a problem -- but it's all up to you on testing that idea out.

I was very suprised to see the size of the 08n ZX10 rad I had in my shop last year.
BIG! It seemed longer than but narrower than ours, I didn't look how deep it was.
Chris Jones shortens the 14 rad on his drag bikes too

I was debating on trying a newer ninja 250 radiator on mine. would take the headache out of cutting one and rewelding it. it looks tiny.

if your going that far get a macintosh subframe, and find one that will fit back there, this way the front space can be used as intercooler when turbo comes.
Couple guys running it like that around here on their 1000's.
