Injector Question '06 vs. later models??

I have a spare set of throttle bodies that I'm not sure what year they are. I'm messin' with E85 and think that I may want to go to the later year ('08 & up) injectors as I understand that they flow more.

Is there a way to look at the injectors and tell if they are the '06-'07 or the later ones?

Am I correct in understanding that the later ones have more holes.

Sorry, I tried the search do-dad with no luck.

Thanks in advance

Tom

yes 10 holes for 06-07 and 12 holes 08 up I think... 98% sure

better way to tell diff is the 06-07 are blue and numbers on side are:
EAT286 for 06-07- blue
EAT 287 for 08 up - green in color.
If you look at them on the bike from clutch side you will see number

OK, so I just went out to the shop and counted the holes. Must be '06-'07.

I should be able to accomplish the same thing if I jack up the fuel pressure.

I know some of you who are spraying or are turbo'd have jacked up the fuel pressure by shimming the relief.

Has anybody suffered reliability problems with the pumps after doing this?

I remember something about the angle of the injector or spray pattern being different on the second generation too, maybe it's got to do with the increased number of holes.

Do the '08 & up injectors fit the older bodies?

Just wondering if the newer injectors will help or are the throttle bodies different too?

Thanks,
Dan
