Scuffle with friends busa today...

And I did very well....took the W.

His bike has exhaust and is stretched a few inches.

My bike is stock with -1 front sprocket.

Did a roll on from 60ish and I pulled on him instantly and kept a stead pull up until 140-150 ish. By the end of the race I was probably 7-10 bike lenghts ahead. We did this twice with nearly the same results.

His excuse....

My tires were spinning a little bit! At least I got my free lunch!

How have you boys faired against busa's?

Abe

lol...yeah it was. I actually got pissed at him when he made that excuse and ordered a rack of lamb! 22.99 baby!

in all fairness he did say his "tune" was off as well before the race BUT he could just be covering his ass knowing the loss was coming.

Iv ran a few gen 2's one was all stock, the other slip ons, walked from one, inched from another. Both were from a stop to top end. We all weigh in at about 200 lbs each. Ive gone up 2 in the rear, and have slip-ons ek chain and vortex sprockets. I know its been said over and over but there so close its up to the driver (gen 2 busa's vs all zx14s) gen 1 no problem.

Good one!! My friend just sold his Daytona 675 and he is shopping for a used Busa, he says he's coming for me lol. This is gonna get good. Its funny because each time i move on to a faster better bike he has to get a competing bike to try to top me. When i bought my new Gixxer 750 he got a Daytona 675 in which my Gixxer still rapes him regardless of his mods. I get a ZX14 now he wants a Busa, let the show down begin I will tape the rapeage for you guys.

There is one guy around my way wit a gen 2 booza and I'm lickin my chops to race him. His bike has a pipe power commander kinda comparible wit mine but my recent mods should def put me over the top. Gen 1's I don't really bother wit cause if they don't have any major work done it won't be close. YUM, I love beatin boozas, yum!

But the Gen1's only have about 143hp stock. That should have been an easy win.

I was with him when he got dyno'd last year and his bike put down 140 RWHP. The dyno guy said he should be pushing 155-160. That's why he thinks his bike needs a tune.

The funny part is I raced him on my FZ1 which had 125RWHP and kept right with him until about 110-115. I mean right on his ass, not even one lenght seperated us. So I knew that I was gonna roll by him yesterday and the sad part is that I am not even used to the power this bike has yet. Gimme a few months of riding and I will be do rolling burnouts as I got by him! LOL!

If your FZ1 keep up with him he has some issues, I had an FZ1 and they are no match for a busa or any bike like that. is there a huge weight difference in you guys? on a side note your 14 should beat a gen1 with bolt ons even if it is running right.

Back in 2000 most stock Busa made about 155 RWHP on a Super Flow Dyno here in Fort Worth. 12 HP difference?? The shop I worked at had 2 huge fans trying help the
Ram Air bikes.

No weight difference between us...Maybe a few pounds. FZ1 had front/rear sprocket, jet kit, full bolt on's. I ran 10.2@132 on my FZ1 at byron dragway with it like that. There were busa's there that day that I beat in terms of ET but there traps were always higher.

What do you guys thing my stock -1 front sprocket ZX will trap? Is 145-50 the average?

I was at a free dyno day at the local Susuki dealer last year. At least 3 gen 1's showed up. 1 stock, 1 with dual slip-on and 1 just running the header. 142, 143 and 146 on a DynoJet 200. My old ZRX pulled 154.
