MR12

MARCH 1, 2010
VP INTRODUCES MR12 - MAXIMUM POWER FOR 4-STROKES

SAN ANTONIO, TX (March 1, 2010) VP Racing Fuels’ search for more power is never-ending, but its MR12 racing fuel represents a quantum leap in its quest. “MR12 is engineered to generate maximum horsepower in 4-stroke applications and it really delivers,” said Bruce Hendel, VP’s Western Regional Manager. “While VP’s MR9 previously made more power than any other motorcycle fuel on the market, dyno tests show MR12 ups the ante by another 5%! Compared to VP’s MRX01, MR12 delivers up to 6% more power and compared to pump gas, up to a whopping 11%!”

“The new technology used in MR12 was built on the technological foundation laid with MR9,” Hendel continued. “Given that MR9 provided the power for multiple champions in all AMA Superbike classes as well as AMA Motocross, customers can be assured of world-class performance with MR12.”

VP has introduced other fuels with comparable performance characteristics in the past, primarily designed to conform with AMA Pro Racing fuel requirements, according to Hendel. “For racers who have no fuel rule restrictions, MR12 represents the best balance between performance and cost.” Although currently not legal in AMA Pro Racing, MR12 passes fuel rules for AMA Pro/Am, CCS, WERA, AFM, NMA, WORCS, SCORE and Best in the Desert as well as club level racing and more.

V P’s R&D group has been prolific over the years, developing nearly 70 fuel blends for applications across all of motorsports. “MR12 is just one example of our commitment to stay ahead of the competition with constant innovation,” Hendel concluded.
Technical questions about MR12 can be directed to VP’s Tech Department at 210-241-1192 or MotorcycleTech@vpracingfuels.com. MR12 is available in 5-, 15-, 30- and 54-gallon drums.

Since 1975, VP Racing has fueled champions in virtually every racing category and class. VP’s fuels have earned a reputation for superior power and consistency – as illustrated by its sweep of championships in all classes of AMA Supercross, Motocross, Superbike and Supermoto for five consecutive years through 2008.

VP is the Official Racing Fuel of GNCC and NHRA Championship Drag Racing as well as fuel of choice for champions in AMA Supercross; AMA Motocross; AMA Dragbike; and ASRA/CCS among more than 50 VP-sponsored series and sanctioning bodies.

How much is it? Mr9 is expensive enough. I guess it's cheap hp though... Anyone want to take a stab at it? $175 5 gal?

I checked today , my local guy says its $130 for 5/gal. The VP rep said it would be roughly 2% more power than MR9 with the same fuel parameters. It is going to be the replacement for MR9 in the future.

+2% is maybe believable...$130/5 gal is about what I pay for MR9 now.

5% more than MR9 should be around 24 more hp power over pump gas for a stock motor tuned ZX14?
2% more than MR9 should be around 17 more hp power over pump gas for a Stock motor tuned ZX14?
Stock tune= ( full pipe, Power commander, good map)
What do you guys think?

Think again.

These fuels make a ton of hp.

u4.1 made more than mr9, but no one would jet the way vp told them to, and hurt motors, so they pulled it.......

With no PC, I picked up 3 tenths, and 4 mph with the original u4, on a slick and bar bike
