Those guys sell pallets of Michelin's weekly flame..........one of if not the largest Michelin dealers in the country. The low prices come from huge amouts purchased weekly. No time for any tires to sit and age..........

Just curious guys, does anyone run a 190 55 17 on a ZX14? I am looking for a wee bit better cornering and turn in, i figure the 55 series BT003RS would do the trick. Any insight?

I run a 190 55 pirelli supercorsa. It has way better handling!
Sometimes I run the same tire in a 180 55 when I want to be really nimble in the twisties.
The 55 is what makes the difference.

That's good to know, i wasn't sure if the big heavy ZX would react to it in a positive way like the light SS bikes. I guess i will be looking for some nice sticky Bstones, probably BT016 or the BT003RS.
At this point in time, i know very little about the ZX14 as i just got it yesterday.

Yes it works perfectly!
I think bridgestone makes a 200 55 17 race tire .One of my good friends has one on his 1098.
I'm thinking of trying one just for the heck of it .

lol overkill. Not to mention not many makers of 200 tires without getting expensive.

Only 2 manufacturers make it . Dunlop and Bridgestone .

Anyone have any feedback on the Pilot Road 2 vs the Pilot Power 2CT?
I am probably going to order them from Derby, but need to choose wisely.

Steve regarding the Dunlop Roadsmarts, ran a set for @ 5k miles. I never felt really planted, the front always seemed on the verge of sliding out. Not a very confidence inspiring feeling. Just my 2 cents. Got B'stones 016's, now much nicer but close to gone at 3k. After running sport touring tires(bt021, roadsmarts) for a bit I switched back to sport tires, really prefer to stick to the road versus better mileage.

+1 and I only had a rear tire on at the time. My front was a Michelin 2ct but when I had my Road smart at the rear it would slide and spin upon acceleration

I've been running the 190/55's and they give me a little more edge to run on without riding ON the bead -- more peace of mind to me. Keeps the bike from getting over too far on the front and wanting to washout. Never tried the 200's or 180's so can't elaborate on how those handle -- but yes, the 55's would be a bit more stable when you're pushing corners

I run the Pilot Road 2 they will last about 6to 7K miles.no burn outs :-) great street tire
Major improvement from the crappy stock tires. Pilot Powers2 are softer but are gone in 1/2 the milage. Depends how you use a 14.
