I believe Rickey Gadson does it too. I don't remember how much though. I think it's about the same as what Adams charges though.

I called Racetech and I wasn't impressed with what the guy said about it. I can't remember what he said exactly, but I think I would go with Adams

Eddie Krewic, 310.00 just got mine back. I think pretty much everyone charges right around that. I was impressed with eddie after talking to him on the phone so I went with him. He also shortend mine 1 inch as well. I think eddie is the only one that test all his shocks on a shock dyno when he is done with them.

If you are going 12 over you need to buy a new shock especially at your weight. Only so much can be done with a stock shock.

don't get me wrong, they were nice on the phone, but the gentleman that explained their shock to me didn't know exactly what was going on. He was telling me something about shortening the shock helped with the squat. You only need to shorten the shock if you have a straight link, right?

I have a shortened shock, no straight link. The shock is 1" shorter than stock.

Why did you opt for a shorter shock Shane?

That was the standard setup that Penske recommended, based on the parameters that I gave them. I didn't argue it, and it has worked well for me. Now, I believe that the travel might not be altered, just the distance between the mounting eyelets? I was able to use my standard lowering links. I wish I could remember more details of my install, but I liked what I saw.

I'm no suspension "expert", but I do know that damping quality and adjustability is what separates a so-so shock from a very good one. I didn't pay a ton for my Penske, and I like the features and design. A very accomplished pro level dragracer explained to me (last season) that even with a revalve on a stock shock, you can only do so much.

All that being said, Ninjaboy had good luck with a revalve. The proof is in the performance...and if it works, it works.

Lots of variables....., but, you dont need a long shock, if you have a long arm.......

My JRI is shorter than stock. My fox that Paul Stuart now has, that I had completely redone, is shorter than that, but I have more chassis travel than some guys, and it was not getting ti done, so Eddie custom built me one.

My dog bone with the fox sat higher than my coby pan......., stock dog bone........

My jri, the dog bone is about a 1/4 inch lower, but that does not interfere with my clearance, because of my chassis geometry.....
