Washington Cascades day off

Cascades White Pass
First long ride around 300 miles. I should have been working but I needed to hear the Brock's longer than 20 minutes. 7 1/2 hr ride nearly non-stop.. Bravo! It's a keeper

We were out there last August, man what a great drive thru the mountains. Love the color of the lake waters, a beautiful green.
Bet the Brock sounded good bouncing off the canyons!!
Wonderful area for sure.

I had the entire pass to myself..I love weekday rides... and yes..every underpass I could hear the echo. By the end of the day..it seemed as quiet as the stock pipes

Oh how I remember the days , long days wide open roads, smeg ripping down the road on my black bitch. Some of the epic ridesof my life- 33 yrs riding, were on the 14!
I hope it remains reliable with the turbo.... I loved those long rides through the mountains....

Dubious,

I've been running a turbo on my ZRX for 4 years and it hasn't missed a beat. I try not to beat on it with pump gas if I have the 12 pound spring in the wastegate but at 8 pounds on pump gas it's been very reliable.
Good gas + 12 pounds = woo-hoo!!

I bet it remains reliable if you're not too crazy.......

Sweet week day ride man!
It's pretty similar whenever you hit a canyon or mountain road during the week.
You can own it!

Great to hear you buzzin through the local mountains. Not too local for me though, White's Pass is a good 250 miles from home. I've been through it a few times, love the drop into Yakima.

I'll be riding the rest of the week to all my stops at work. I should need to carry much tools or return any systems. I'll be buzzing through the Palouse once or twice and make a stop in CDA, ID.

Maybe if you're looking for long ride, dcjens, sticks, or gilberjj, we can meet up...

I have so much leave accumulated that I can't take it all. This looks like a great ride and I was thinking about just jumping on and heading West sometime this Summer.
Any chance of getting a Google Map of where this is?

You're right about that! Just a bit east of the summit. Hwy 12 is one of my favorites. Famed FS 25 at Randle has worn many a tire for sportbike riders. Easily one of the top 3 best rides in Washington. I'm guessing 50 miles of technical riding with lifts and drops, hairpins and straights. Not to mention looking down the throat of Mt St Helens from Windy Ridge. When I got to the end I turned around and did it again!

Nice! One thing I liked about the ZRX too is the cam-style chain tensioner. turn 1 bolt and it adjusts both sides evenly. I'd switch swing arms if they fit the 14.

The eccentric swingarms are great for easy adjustment but have been known to slip if you really put the power down.
