ecu guys explain this
i installed a freinds ecu from his bike . ok his ecu has always threw a code 23 . well guess what my bike now does it ..and has never threw a code 23 ..

That is a cam sensor failure or wiring short or open circuit code. Some of the codes are not erased from the ecu history even when the problem is corrected.

thats what i figure .. but why does it throw a code only with that ecu .. when i got my old ecu it throws no code and cam postition sensor works perfect .. in fact today when riding its flooding with fuel in cruising rpm's ..and on my old ecu its runs perfect at the same rpms

I wonder if the dealer has a scan tool to clear the codes?

maybe ridgeracer could flash it for you.
We need to get him started on a MAP / boost based ecu set up for the turbo's too...
it would be great if you get a head start on this Rob.

I believe the FSM tells how to get rid of the code. But that wouldn't cure the problem I don't think.
The problem is definitely the ECU. Don't know if it can be fixed but...

no it doesn't ..all it states is that codes are stored as memory for the bike service records
