Got my PC3 in the mail today....

So please guide me. Looks like a plug and play but are there any threads on where the best place to mount is? What will I need?

Also what is the best thread for removing the fly's...plan on doing this in my garage the next few days.

After this monster storm we had here in the suburbs of chicago it will be even more depressing to install!

Abe

For the flies, buy a brand new quality screw driver. Don't use a worn out one or a POS Chinese, Harbor Freight one. I've had good luck with Klein.

i hear this works well:
heat the screwdriver with a torch, stick it in the screw head and hold it there to transfer the heat to the screw to melt the factory thread locker to avoid stripping the screw head.

Stupid question...

Does the PC need to be plugged into the bike in order to load maps and for computer to recognize it is connected?

I just installed the program on my computer and it's not recognizing the PC through the USB port.

I was hoping to load my map now and it be read to toss right on....

As long as you have the USB connected and the little adapter to hook up 9v battery it should be reading it.

If not, load it while it's hooked up to the bike and the bike's running. If you need the 9v adapter, you're more than welcome to mine. I always just hook my laptop up while the bike is running. Shoot me an email if you need it. Chadley.yates@gmail.com

Thanks for the offer. I was wondering what the other connection was on the PC. I'll just wait to have it my bike running and the PC connected.

What about the groud wire coming off the two harness connectors? Where are you guys grounding that?
