New guy from Tampa, fl
Hey I just got a 06 zx14 its red, i bought it for little over 6k and it came with 2 bros slip on carbon fiber pipes, the best part is it only had 980 miles on it. I new to the zx14 world. the 1st thing i want to do to my bike is get those flies out but i wont do it till i have PCIII with a map for flies out and slip on's. I just don't think it will be safe to run with out the right map...

I just want to say buying the 14 was the best bike decision i ever made!

Welcome what a deal for a low low mileage bike. I could have saved 3 g's from my price of a slightly used bike. I've had mine for nearly 3 years though. Get a real pipe they make better power all through the range.

Welcome aboard, nice bike. That rear tire looks dangerously slick, hope that's only water! I remember having that much tread, 2k miles & 3 months ago, they go so fast when you're having fun.

Ab that back tire... Is that water or armorall?? Please tell me it's water.
You will tell a big difference when the flies are pulled. Your doing the right thing by waking til you get a pc

yes its water on the back tire i just wiped it down cause in the other pics it looked bald, the front is just as new but you can't tell by looking at it in the pictures, i think the flash made it look really slick...
i love the sound of my 2 bros exhaust but i wish i had the ti force high mount or muzzy black mega setup or the brock set up, i can't afford any of that right now.. i'm looking to by a PCIII on the 1st of march i wish i could find a used one for a little cheaper cause there are so many other parts i want but can't afford right now..

went out to night and these GSXR guys were all saying the busa will smoke the shit out of the zx14 all day,
i was just like i don't care, its seems really fast to me!
so then i'm riding home and this guy that was there with this 08 gsxr 1000 with a full exhaust, powercommander3 and all kinds of carbon fiber parts is now next to me and reving and getting really close to me, so i dropped it down to 2nd and roll on the gas not punching it but a good amount of gas.. the front tire started to come off the ground like an inch or so it felt like and it just stayed there as i gave it more gas by the time i let oFf around 8.5k or 9k he was way behind me and trying hard to catch up.. like 20-30 car back there...
we stop at a red light and he acted like nothing happened, he just stayed at a normal distance form the rest of the time we were on the same road...

If you haven't noticed.. the front tire lofted an inch or three is a classic 14 shot..welcome! nice ride..watch out for the end of the straight-a-ways!!

Yes it does!! That's how we get 2 or 3 seasons out of a front tire and 2 or 3 months out of a rear!!! These things pull like a bull outta the chutes!! Lovin' every mile of it!

TampaGunSlinger- Welcome! You picked an awesome bike.... as you get get used to the power the bike delivers, you will find yourself looking to squeeze more performance out of it. Try to get a PCIII and a Brocks or Muzzy exhaust and you'll find yourself having deeper appreciation for the power. Stay away from rolling on a busa with that 2 brothers exhaust as you may find yourself left behind. Have fun and keep it clean!
A LOT of people have busa's but only a select few ride a ZX14.... welcome to the club!

yea we met last night at the lube, i was on my home from there when the enconter with the gsxr 1k happened...
and i will not be trying to race any busa's anytime soon. i don't feel like i know my bike well enought to be driving it like that... i'm still trying to see what it can do... and i don't care if its faster or not.. but i do want to be able to smoke 1000's because all the 1k guys always talk shit about the 14 being to big and it can't lean in the corners...and blua blua blua.
i really can't wait to take out those flies and get that powercommander III, i can do all the work myself i just don't have alot of cash to spend on my bike right now..
i'm hoping i can buy around the 1st.. if any of you guys see a used one for sale let me know

ok just making an update, i bought a power commander III tonight on ebay (used for $150).
also i'm looking for a new or used red zx10 front fender now.
coming soon: bar risers, buell pegs, frame sliders, and those caps for the forks.
i post pics of everything i get it, i can't wait to get those flies out and up laod a new map
