ZX14 personal review

Well it bean 46 k on my 06 and I have had to spend some chum lately to keep her spinning good

1 Fork rebuild

1 new chain & sprockets

1 new battery

5 sets of spark plugs 50.00 bucks each time iridium

3 sets of brakes front 1 rear

9 rear tires 5 front

18 oil & filter changes

2 K&N air filters

3 radiator flushes

2 clutch & brake fluid replace

New braided brake lines

and now I need a new 200.00 clutch ouch!!

Kinda expensive but worth it

My motor still sounds great with plenty of power I still don't think I need a valve shim replace most all ZX14 have stayed within spec that I have read on the forums great all around bike and dependable so far.

No mine have been looking done after 9k . I think you will get more miles if your stock setup and a casual rider.

Other than the fork rebuild, everything you would expect as far as expenses IMHO.

SS brake lines and pads, sprockets, battery, new tires, air filter... I upgraded it all within 1K miles on the odometer on my 14.

I know a few other ZX14 riders that don't run there plugs that long ether for canyon carving i hit different altitudes here in the mountains and do a lot of high revving that could also maybe shorten the life im guessing.
