He asked about the Ti-winder.

You know what exhaust I have on my bike.
And you don't think there will be a lean spot around 3.5 K rpm with a full system and no fuel management?

I know there won't be a lean spot around 3.5k with just an exhaust. If you pull the flies, then OF COURSE there will be a lean spot!

re-learning to ride

The zx14 was my "first streetbike", but I raced MX my entire life, had ridden every street bike I could get my hands on, and grew up knowing what bikes can do and the dangers associated with them. My 4th time ever on the bike was at the dragstrip the day before I made a 1650 mile trip from NE texas to San diego CA in 3 days by myself. The way I see it, Owning a sportbike takes the right frame of mind. If you go into it thinking that you're eventually going to crash, chances are you probably will. I refuse to accept that fate, and though I've had some really REALLY close calls with the idiot Tijuana cagers that hopped the fence into san diego and don't know english let alone how to drive I haven't gone down to date. The way that I see it, If people wanted to be lectured about what motorcycle to buy they would ask the opinion of their grand parents.

That being said, I suggest that everyone learn how to ride on the dirt and not even think about a street bike until they can handle a BIG cc 2-stroke on dirt, sand, and mud. The way I see it, If you can ride something as unforgiving as a YZ490, CR500, or KX500 on sand you can ride anything. After that It's just a matter of learing what to watch out for on the street, and how to react accordingl\y.

I heard the video it seems loud enough and it looks good, but is any of you running this set-up and if so do you like it?

I want to know where you heard or saw a video of this exhaust? The only one on Brock's website is the CT Single and CT Dual, not the CT Meg. This is what I will be buying in a week or two but would like to hear it. I am probably going to buy it regardless, but still would like to hear it.

sorry for the misunderstanding it isn't meg i havent heard one of it yet i would like to also. if you get it put a sound clip on here..

The cover will need machined in order to clear:

Yeah, I think you could space it out if you wanted to do it that way. The bigger issue is that I'm not sure you can remove the cover without pulling the meg first.

Only thing about putting spacers to push the tiewinder out a little would be turning clearance, it wouldn't help any

I don't think that would be an issue, Dusty. It only needs moved about 1/4". I'm just going to have a small bevel machined in the cover. It's really not a big deal (to me, anyway).

The collector bend is usually the problem area, as far as I know. The TiWinder pipes are staggered quite a bit here, for clearance:

Still, not a great choice for the street.

so if you machine down the cover a lil bit you should be able to pull off the quick access area with the ti winder installed ?

or no matter if you space it or machine it, the cover will still not come off without removing the megaphone?

At this point I'm not sure; I think you might have to remove the meg because the quick access cover plate drops pretty far down into the base section.

Also, one of the bolts is obscured by the meg (although I have gotten away with two of the three bolts before)

I haven't tried to set it up yet, and the pipe is back off the bike.

My sentiments exactly Bawls -- we should all learn in the dirt and make the move to harder surfaces after some experience is gathered.......I was 11 yrs old with an XR75 ( dont laugh ) and jumped on a CR125 a year later, then a CR250, then got my hands on a YZ465.....but I'm back to a bored 250 now, that 465 is quite the widowmaker and not to be taken lightly.
