What else??

I have a stock '09 14 and have been planning on getting the TiWinder (2006-2009) ZX-14 Full Titanium Sidewinder Exhaust System- Blue Anode Oxidation Finish and I was wondering if I need or should get anything else like a ZX-14 2009 Dynojet Power Commander PCV or a ZX-14 2008-2009 Dynojet Power Commander III-USB any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated. thanks.

get the PCV and brock will supply you with good maps. If you're not going with an aftermarker arm I would go with either extensions from spencercycle.com (they'll get you to 64") or from allthingschrome.net (they'll get you to 6"). You'll have to mess around with the gearing, but i'm one of the people on here who is a big fan of steep gearing. I run 16/46, but some of the guys have good luck with 16/48. Here's what I would do if i were going to go with your pipe...

16/46 gearing
66" wheelbase
Ti-winder
PCV
Adams billet pan for maximum clearance
Adams straight link and adjustable lowering links
internal lowering blocks int he forks
Penske or ohlins drag shock (revalved stock shock at a minimum)
Non o-ring chain
Extended brake line for the rear
Tiger tail
Aluminum chain guard
Tether kill switch
zx12 rear wheel (lighter and cheap)

For some really good info, refer to shanes build thread.

I was just wondering the same question. Ti winder and Sidewinder would both be difficult to ride on the street.

Yes, they do have good ground clearance for lowering the bike. I would not buy a sidewinder style exhaust for street riding. Start a new thread and take a poll. You will regret buying that system for street riding. Nice bike though.

Does the cannon have the same header as the system you had? If so, you couldn't give me one. Even if it is one of the best looking pipes on the market.

unsure, I thought it was, but I recently heard that the cannon has a stepped header (same as m14s, ti force, and brocks).

I like the look and sound of my alienead, but I've had to get my leathers sewed up at least 5 times bc it burns the sticking out of them. Also ruined 2 pair of boots. But for street riding it would be fine bc you wouldn't be dragging your legs

This is not an exhaust for street riding, period!

Yes, with a full system you do need a pcV in order to have a good running bike and not harm your engine running too lean.

Not in a mean spirit, but is this your first motorcycle? Seems to me you're jumping on the first exhaust you found appealing in the looks department and everything else is in the vast unknown.

No on the contrary I have been looking for a full exhaust system going on 6 months now and yes this is my first street bike. Like everyone else, I like a certain style Mass and that style seems to be somewhat short and megaphone type. I like doing the twisties and straight and fast., But as everyone has been telling me and now Brock himself is that the TiWinder isn't for me so I am now moving on looking for something else something extremely loud and looks good too... He said I should look at his CT MEGAPHONE FULL EXHAUST ZX-14 (06-09)
They will be making it in the blue anode finish soon. what do you guys think?? I heard the video it seems loud enough and it looks good, but is any of you running this set-up and if so do you like it?

Brocks pipes are too loud. Don't get me wrong I love my alienhead but the thing makes my freaking ear drums ring after a nice ride. If you're looking for loud then that's the way to go.

Edit: With that being said there is no other brand pipe I'd spend my hard earned money on.

Yeah the sound is great! I like to let my little brother ride it just so I can hear it from afar.

I disagree. There are MANY zx14s with alien heads out there. Also, you don't need a pcIII of V to run the exhaust. It DEFINETLY won't run lean. Haven't you looked at the maps, the maps are taking fuel OUT up top (up to 10% on certain maps), not adding it. So if anything, the pc leans it out even more to get it to make a touch more power. The pc doesn't add very much peak power, it is mainly used for rideability, and in the zx14s case, it adds power down low when you pull the flies.

I want to know where you heard or saw a video of this exhaust? The only one on Brock's website is the CT Single and CT Dual, not the CT Meg. This is what I will be buying in a week or two but would like to hear it. I am probably going to buy it regardless, but still would like to hear it.

He asked about the Ti-winder.

You know what exhaust I have on my bike.
And you don't think there will be a lean spot around 3.5 K rpm with a full system and no fuel management?

This is not really a pipe designed with street use in mind:

I've had a Muzzy M14, Brock's Shortmeg, Brock's CT, and this TiWinder. For street use, get a regular 4/1.
