U.K. Immobiliser

Hi Guys, hoping someone out there can help me with this.
Recently became the proud owner of ZX-14R (ZZR 1400) B7 and noticed almost straight away that upon switching off, the immobiliser warning light is NOT coming on. I know the light works as I have a cut-key without chip that when inserted activates the warning light and flashes up immobiliser problem. Looking in the handbook I noticed that it is possible to de-activate the light so went through the procedure of re-activating it but with no success. The hand-book also states that when the battery is disconnected the circuit reverts to active mode but having had the battery leads off to install power to my sat-nav the light still fails to come on. I also noted that the shift-light circuit light was not working either and no attempt to re-activate this has proved successful to date. I have checked all the circuit fuses and these are all o.k. so am at a loss as to what the problem can be. The immobiliser circuit, as I said earlier, is DEFINATELY working as the non-chip key will not allow you to start the bike!
Any suggestions as to the cause of this problem will be greatly appreciated guys.
Thanks in advance.
BLAGGIE.

Not sure on that one, I have never owned a bike with one on it. Hopefully, it is something simple and easy to fix.

It's supposed to 'stop' flashing after 24-hours to preserve the battery! That's not my problem, I cannot get mine to flash at all! The warning light works so I know it's not the culprit. Does no-one have the answer for me you guys? Blaggie.

The handbook also says that when the battery voltage is low the warning light does not flash.

What is your battery voltage when the bike is switched off? Below 12v and it will deactivate the light.

Sonds like a problem inside the immobileser. Is there any way to check the port/terminal
on the box?? When the OEM key is on. Or have a friend who has same model 14 to swap out boxs to check this option???Sounds like several path ways of power to light from inside the box. Bet you have a bad box. Not joking :-)

Good point, but if voltage is low would engine start?? My 14 does not have this option.
