1400.00 is still along ways from 995.00. if Brock only offered an ecu flash map I would propabaly try one. I just have no reason to run a pwr comander anymore.
well i already have the power commander, but i get you there is a price difference. i could go for milder sound and a litlle more kick tho . i just really like the looks of that new pipe. it would really look sharp with some bst wheels $$$$....

the nice thing about tuning outside the ecu is that if something goes haywire during the flash (or map change on the dyno jet) you don't toast the ecu. i wonder how many flash jobs an ecu could handle without issues? at least if you trash the dynojet you have stock settings to fall back on...

The ecu flash for the busa is top notch now you can do about anything thru it including a gear based nos progressive controller. actually feel more reliable without the pwr comander. you can't hardly give a pwr comander away for a busa. we have flashed 3 busa's already should be heading to the dyno within a couple weeks.

as long as the programmable memory in the ecu is of good quality you should have no issues.

If you get the CT Meg you will not really get a milder sound. It is still pretty loud, if you want something milder you would have to go with the CT Single probably.

Pretty nice system, is it full Ti? The can sort of resembles a R55 Yoshi muffler.

Its a full Ti system and its awesome... welds are all perfect, went together really easy and fit perfect.... The only problem I had was the springs front the flange to the header, they were really hard to pull for some reason.. Also there are 4 holes in each flange so I just picked the easiest holes to put the springs in and had my buddy help me pull them... Other then that it was cake.. Looks great, sounds great....! Its a little pricey but worth it in my opinion. And it doesnt look at all like a YOSH piece of &$%#.......

Cool, it looks very good and appears to have very high quality build. As far as the Yoshi comment, the can itself just looks like a smidge like the R55 used on the 06+ gixxer 600/750. You guys really hate Yoshi pipes in here don't ya? lol I personally don't like the Yoshi piping and welds, it looks like cheap chrome piping. My bike came with a Muzzy full ti exhaust w/ carbon canister, i do plan on changing it to a full Ti Tiforce high mount, i am really diggin that look
I come from basically race replica bikes so i haven't really heard of Muzzy or Brock's, the names that i commonly hear is Leo Vince, Akrapovic, Tiforce, Yoshimura, Graves, Sato, two brothers (god i hate 2bros, soo ugly), just to name a few.
lol

It is a tad similar looking..I will give you that... But I had one on one of my old bikes and it was junk... I will never own one again.... I think they are junk, atleast mine was, and it was an older one.. . Maybe they are better quality now, but I still wont own one... Im just a Brocks fan, so I dont even look at anything else anymore....lol

quote: Just received the Brock's CT Megaphone last Friday.... very nice pipe.
Base on Erica's best ET of 9.53 @ 146mph with the bike being completly stock (no pipe or programmer), what's everyones prediction of what we should expect the bike to run after the pipe, programmer, BMC airfilter and a few other go-fast goodies are installed.
We should have everything installed this week, tuned, dyno'd and begin track testing in a few days so let me know what your predictions are and we'll see who gets the closest.
Give some more info on her setup and her 60ft times and i bet we can guess it. I would say that swb, slammed, 17/40 gearing, and the shock dialed in with a CT series and her weighing 130 lbs or less. If she can get into the mid 1.5's she'll go 9.1-9.2, but i could be wrong.
Very good guess... after the installation of the pipe and programmer it made 194 rwhp and ran a 9.28 in bad weather with an extra 30 lbs. of ballast onboard (per AMA SS Rules). We are planning on making a few passes with the ballast removed just to see how the bike reacts and looking for a tenth or two better performance.
Everything about the new CT Meg is awesome... the sound, the power and the proven performance on the track.

How does the CT Meg compare in sound to the smeg? I like the sound of the smeg but prefer the looks and performance of the CT Meg.
