Yeah 1600 is way too much for me..... to even consider....
I could play with some other mods for amount.
- suspension
- gearing
- wheelbearings
- nitrous
- custom map
Hell that 1/2 of what the SS prep is... I believe

Damn, that isa nice lookin pipe. When I saw it I started thinkin I should've waited for a little bit longer but still happy wit my Alien-Head. 1700 bucks isa whole lotta money considering how much it is compared 2 other Brock exhausts. How much more real horse power u think it makes compared 2 the street meg and the A-Head? My guess maybe a hair on the track and nothin on the street.

quote: I gotcha... Here's a question. If it's track only, Why run an air filter? There's another 1-2 hp right there that can be had for free. Also, the bridgestone tire really isn't too shitty at the track at stock wheelbase. As light as she is, I would think that the heavy springs might actually do more harm than good unless you're just really worried about her eating clutch plates. My reasoning behind that is that I've got strong hands, and have found that it's still pretty tough to really slide the clutch with the heavy springs which is going to be even less forgiving at stock wheelbase. I know that you guys probably already know this, but you may have better luck with stock springs and 3 of the brocks spacers, or even no spacers at all. My dad got about 300 passes out of his stock clutches with no heavy springs or spacers and was going 1.4-1.5 stretched and 1.5-1.6 at stock wheelbase. When you get a chance, get us some pictures of her racing. I come from a family of drag racers and always thought that women racing big bikes was cool as shit. Hell, My mom used to rape everyone on a GS650 bracket racing back in the early 80's. I guess it's hard to catch someone who weighs 101 lbs, can ride, and you have to spot a full second.
Bawls,
As requested, here is a photo from Erica racing the SuperSport Class ran in Valdosta, GA last weekend.

quote]I am just dumb founded at that price.... I am gonna need a sponsor for real for this one.
On another note, Erica (PC Hotrods daughter) ran 9.34 @151 in qualifying and 9.56 @ 149mph in round one. I believe she weighs 130 and is running this exhaust.
Hey Nelson, you are correct, her best ET of the event was a 9.34 and she qualified 9th behind Chip Ellis.
We expected a better ET with using the AMA Spec Fuel as the bike has been a 9.31 at our home track using the same tune with pump gas. There are still a few mods to bring the bike up to par with the other SS Bikes but this will come in time. We figure the bike has a 9.15 in it and that is expected without the final mods.
When she ran Richard Gadson in the 1st round of elimination she left pretty well with him with a .162 RT to his .152 RT on the Pro-Tree but she nailed the rev limiter in the 1-2 & 2-3 shifts and still ran a 9.56 ET.
Regardless of going out in the 1st round, we were all proud to be there and had the time of our lives.
Thanks for recognizing Erica.

PC Hotrod,
Glad you all are sticking with it. The class is not easy by any means. And of course there are some super tuners and great riders in the class that steer other away from even trying. Erica did well with where she qualified and going after richard in rd 1. I am definitely going to be watching her this season. Good Luck.... I have always loved the SS classes from back when they were running 600ss.. Super Stock is blueprint for great SWB riding...
Is the spec fuel still XXX? Which one so they have you run? 112?

Thanks for the boost of confidence. We are more into heads-up racing rather than bracket racing so the SS class is a perfect fit.
XXX F-118 is the spec fuel which is 108 octane. We will be dynoing the bike with the F-118 to see what kind of power it makes compared to the pump gas we've been running as we do have a good baseline of what the bike made before the F-118.

They are difficult. You will probably have to bend the spring puller a bit to do it. The puller is easily bent back to the original shape, if need be.

I didn't have a problem installing Jesses CT .. Are you sure you have the exhaust spickets on the right way ? I didn't have to bend the spring tool to install the springs ..

Super tuners or super builders? That class continues to be pushed to the limits and is money driven. It is not a stock class like it states it is. Erika is probably running a true stock trim bike. I would love to run that class but I don't want to pull my head on a brand new motor which is the competitive factor.

It is pretty tight in there if you have large hands, much harder to do than on the shortmeg (which I had on and off many times).

I used Jesse old exhaust gaskets( twice on the CT ) and they were used with this other headers also and have no leaks ... You should be fine ..
The collars or what ever you call them and be flipped over , That puts the holes for the springs in a different location ... That makes it harder to install the springs ... I think it will work either way but one location makes it easier to install the springs ..

The directions that i received showed them only having holes on two corners, must have been the original design. The ones that I got were the ones with holes on all corners.

Yeah the install wasn't bad at all. And the directions that I have are for the CT Single not the Meg. But the only difference is the mount. Overall pretty easy, more work than the naked ZRX but still pretty easy.

$1595 for the CT megaphone on Brocks website, I imagine a previous customer would get an additional percentage discount, brings this pipe into the relative price range of the old street meg which is now down to $995 but used to be $1095....

If you are military you get 10% off, brings it down to 1435, which is what I paid for mine. There are a few other ways to get a discount, and they also have sales every now and then.
But maybe it will stay expensive so everyone doesn't get one....lol...

1400.00 is still along ways from 995.00. if Brock only offered an ecu flash map I would propabaly try one. I just have no reason to run a pwr comander anymore.
