quote: Compton I just purchased a Storm 7x16 this weekend and am curious about where you are carrying the bikes? My trailer doesn't have d-rings or chocks in it yet. My thinking was to place 1 bike front center, and 2 side by sid centered over my axles for best load distribution. How do you situate yours? I will post up some pics of my new toy soon. Thanks man.
up front i have two condors side by side with E-track flooring. one in the middle and one on each end.
I can fit up to 4 bikes without an issue, as long as two of them are shorter than 66"

Thanks Compton that's just the info I was looking for.I just need to measure my father in laws hog and see how long it is. Got to get it ready for Thunderbeach. Going to take the wife and drive down to Panama to meet her dad and, several friends. It ought to be a blast. Yes Louis it has a 30'' sidedoor too,but no steps yet.

Thanks Eklipse. The bad part is my jeep is black to match the trailer, but 8 or 9 miles a gallon at 55 all the way to panama would. Just be a killer. The Cummins in the dually gets 16 to 17 with the trailer at 75 to 80 so that's how we will have to roll.

My super small, super efficient tow set up. Just got back from Miami, it was awsome. 27mpg going 70-75mph with A/C on in south florida. Next Stop Montreal and Quebec city in July.

200$ for trailer at Menards, I dont think they sell them any more. It also folds up and stores vertical
130$ for tire channel and ramp from Northern Tool and Equipment
80$ larger wheels and tires
additional for plywood and wood to narrow front of channel for front tire.
Rode great all the way to Miami and back
I repacked wheel bearings with grease before I left!

My poor bike!
Ya I guess their is something to be said about enclosed trailers. For me though, I just couldn't justify the cost of the trailer, full size truck and a lot of gas money to go anywhere.
I would rather save for more frequent vacations, riding and staying away from work.

That's abpretty cost efficient set up there! If I traveled long distances I would think about something like that. Enclosed trailers have their advantages, but towing and fuel miledge aren't two of them.

Hey eklipse636...........
What regret do you have in getting a V-nose over a flat nose?
I've had a 5x8 & 6x10 flat and am getting ready to buy a 7x16 and was leaning toward a V-nose.
Thanks,
Dan

that's the same trailer that they sell at harbor freight. The only thing that I would suggest is upgrading to a bigger tire to give the wheel bearings a break.
