Best way to clean rotors

Getting a vibe from the front rotors. Have been told it could be dirt, etc. in the rotor rivets. On another site a guy put a bolt thru the rivet with a nut lightly tightened and spun it with a drill. Has anyone tried this? Alternatives? How about soaking in a solvent?

If you put Muratic Acid on a rag it will take surface contaminents off.

I've always used an automotive grade brake wash -- most of them are chlorinated, usually evaporates in a minute or 2. it comes in a simple spray can and you won't have to touch the rotors or calipers, just blast away.
