Awesome numbers and a perfect example of why the valving must be balanced with the spring.

I'm about 175lbs think I'd need to mess with the stocker much? Or does this revalve only benefit the bigger guys?

Sweet!!! Glad you finally got that suspension working a bit better for you. I figured you were being slowed up by it...so many people just keep adding power or looking elsewhere for quicker times...you found it and didn't even touch the motor. Nice!!!!!

Sorry guys, I dont have the info on what shimming he used to give you. I didnt even ask to be honest. It is just a proven opinion of mine that the stock shock rebound is not up to par once you tighten the stock spring or put a stiffer spring on.

Right! In good air the bike can run 150-153mph so I know the bike has the power to get me to the 8's as it is. I just have to ride it there and that is the challenge at hand. Some believe I wont get it to happen because of the combo weight I'm running with. I would like to prove 'em wrong......

So is there a shock guru on here who can maybe give some heads up on shimming a shock for size of rider and bike lengths??Or a chart somewhere to get a guideline to follow?

The problem with any stock type shock, is they were all designed so that the rebound and compression, both affect eachother. The only shock on the market today, that is made different, and from the ground up, for drag bike racing, is the JRI. It is a totally different body, and is way lighter too. VERY nice shocks.

Eddie K. custom built mine. I am itching to try it out. The guys are JRI are the guys that built the Penske shock for dragbike racing, along with Eddie K.

Check it out.

Nox is right as rain about the rebound and compression affecting each other. The suspension guy told me that there was not much that could be done to help that with stock shocks.

Dusty, I think you would go 8's if you had Scott's track conditions. But I doubt you would run his mph on pump gas. His bike runs real strong.

just to compare, brocked out stock motor 14 with 25 pound lighter driver was trapping pretty much identical mph on the big end, but allways had a couple more mid. we both run pump, i had 91 in mine, i think he runs 87. i havent seen his tuck.... his best na run is an 8.91 or so, 8.69 on spray

Just had Eddie K. revalve my stock shock. will be a couple months before I get to try it out. Never put much thought in setting up my suspension so going to really try to get it dialed in this year. He put the right spring on for my wieght and also shortend it by an inch
