What about this bike for a do all rider? kinda sporty

I am looking to add this bike to the line up as a work ride and to get out on and cruise. 04 Yamaha Road Star Warrior limited Edition. rides pretty good, Sporty for a cruiser. what you guys think? needs some different bars but a pretty nice bike. I may go ahead and get it this week.

I had a blue 06 Warrior, got traded in for a Victory 8-ball.
I've kept a cruiser sitting in the garage for a few years for no good reason.

Not a practical bike IMHO- not good mpg, not good at highway speeds due to the lack of wind protection,
heavy and loud too.
It has good brakes though, that's the same front brake set up as the R1. Handles o'k for a cruiser.

Again, for a commuter look elsewhere.

Find you a suzuki m109r... they'll run 7.40 in the 1/8th and turn heads everywhere you go. TNT had one before the 14 and loved it.

Well I can get it for $4500 with 3700 miles on it. It has Fuel injection and I have a leftover dry kit that could give it some kick. I been wanting a V-twin for a while and this one is cheap which means a cash deal no payments. A couple of guys at the plant have M109's and 1800 Honda's but they both sound like a garbage truck with aftermarket exhaust. Plus thay make some nice parts for the Yamaha.

yeah, you can't beat the sound of a 1670 push rod motor with a 2-1 . now you'll have to get with patrick racing and get some parts lol.

My vote would go to a 1000 cc Duc Monster- light and fast, uber-fun to ride and they are cheap now everywhere you look.

Dad still has his 2001 roadstar and loves it. It has drop in pistons, barons big air kit, and vance and hines pipes on it. It's probably one of the best sounding v-twins you'll ever hear.

that bike may not do much but maybe a short ride to work and a bike night here and there. this might be a better choice for a low-cost "do all" bike as you put it....

I had a 06 warrior. It had a yamaha speedstar pipe on it and it sounded great! I actually liked the bike. Nowadays it's all crotch rockets.

The key here is cash purchase, I just had to chunk out $6300 to Miss. State UNV. for my oldest daugther. Although it has picked up some at the plant thanks to China and Russia buying up GL's, we are still not up to full steam. I don't have anything comfortable to ride. I do own a yamaha, well my youngest daughter does. I ride it to the store all the time. Once you get past the gay feeling it's really not that bad but it got me to wanting something to cruise on. The Zuma just does not have enough punch. so I have a budget of $4500 and that's it. Here is what started the cruiser craze!

For $4500.00 good buy with the pipe and PC. I would not add NOS or Turbo.
Just have fun riding it to work or what ever. It's clean enough you should be able to sell and not loose $$ selling in summer.

Yea, It's a good deal I was just joking about the turbo. I would maybe change it over to some T-Bars and just ride it. Funny though after doing some searches on the Warrior it really does not have that great of a review.
