Sprocket removal

Can the side case over the front drive sprocket be removed in one piece or does the clutch slave have to come off? Thanks

comes off with it. dont squeeze the clutch lever with it off.
dont forget to flatten out the countershaft spline washer before tackling that stuborn countershaft nut with a six point socket!

One of the bolts that holds the slave on holds the cover on as well. I can't remember which one. Someone will chime in.
I stuck a2x4 in the back tire and let it rest on the swingarm to hold it while you turn the sprocket

It's the longer one on the clutch slave cylinder which goes right through to the crankcase, the other two can stay put.

I had somebody hold the rear brake while I took the sprocket off. Don't just put it in gear, I've heard that can be bad on the transmission.
