Insurance was cancelled today
Gieco called me today and reported that they no longer insure street turbo 14's. Best time is barely faster than stock, 9.45 @ 150.6 mph. Driving record is perfect. Sucks, well got in 35,600 miles insured.

I can't even ride the 73 Triumph Tiger at full potential on the street. The vast majority of us only use as much throttle as needed. The Tiger is very old school but will waste most cars, it's also a 1936 engineering marvel. Tiger has high compression pistons and Barnett clutch. Rev limit is only 5,000 rpm. Tons of torque but only 50 Hp. will check with State Farm, thank you.

I switshed to State Farm last year from Geico. They actually trippled my coverage and I pay slightly less than I did with Geico. That also includes 2 other vehicles.

geico hawaii
When I got my insuance quoted by geico it seemed reasonable enough untill the wifey pointed out where the quote was from. Fuggin hawaii! Bet I would have played hell if I had a claim on that one. She called local state farm guy for me, and to my suprise better coverage for less cash. I can also walk in his office if there is a problem. +1 state farm here.

On a side note, I was in a rear end collision last friday where I was at fault. It happened 60 miles away from our house and when i called state farm they called the collision center, called the tow truck company, and booked my rental car. We'll see how much my insurance goes up now, but i'm hoping that it won't be too much.

State Farm wanted $1900.00 a year for coverage including extra for the turbo. Progressive quoted $936 a year or $73.33 a month for full coverage on the ZX-14 $3000.00 for the turbo and included the Triumph and scooter liability only. This is weird because the first time Progressive quoted on the 14 it was $6500.00 a year two years ago. Stats have proven that ZX-14 riders do not fall into the squid group and have a general above average safety record. Also found out the agents will pad your numbers if they don't know you.

Had my insurance cancelled by State Farm after an at fault accident. Had to go through Farmer's to get a decent rate just to get liability. One item to keep in mind is that every State has different % limits to what is considered totalled. Nevada is 65% of current value, and the repair shops cannot repair parts (i.e. repaint scratched panels, etc.) have to replace with brand new parts. I feel that it won't be long before the insurance companies find out that the 14 is a high powered beast. When more claims are recorded, the rates will rise dramatically.

There is only one ZX-14 street turbo in Utah with a perfect driving record. Have to admit that I have a yellow streak from hell. Love the power and hate tires older than one year or 3K miles. OEM tires are the lowest bidder and have head-shake problems. Can only run Michelin or better.

Geico sucks major d!ck IMHO.
A guy cut me off this summer and I totaled his Camry with the F150.
From the very beginning Geico had very little interest in taking my side as both parties blamed the other for the accident.
I was in the left lane on a two lane road and a guy in the right lane jammed on his brakes to avoid rear ending another car and swerved halfway over into my lane right infront of me without checking his mirror and without signaling. I had no chance to slow down or swerve around him and crashed into him sending him spinning around a few times, luckily he didn't flip over.
I watched him slam on the brakes and let go, followed immediately by a swerve infront of me. I hit the brakes but knew that very moment that I have no chance to slow down.
I had 3 other people with me who saw the douchebag swerve right infront of me, no "bistanding" witnesses though.
Geico pinned it on me for a rear end, had little interest in any investigating.
They are not going to get my hard earned $ for our 2 trucks, 2 cars and 3 bikes for 2010. I'm 27 and haven't gotten even a single speeding ticket for 11 years (luck/ radar detectors/ common sense), never responsible for an accident either.
Geico, I'm done with you for life
