who do I use to ship my bike?
Well as you know I am moving from Michigan to Alabama. So I need a good shipping company. I used eagleoneexpress.com when I moved from Az to Mi. And the did ship fast. But they did destroy my custom painted fender in the process. I have to admit they did pay for me to replace it with a ZX-10 fender with out hesitation, but I was still a little bumbed about it.
So should I chance it and use the same company again? or who else would y'all recommend?

Hmmm....have you tried eagleoneexpress, I heard they are really good.
Otherwise, I suggest the same company I did the last time you asked.

I am visiting my parents in the Detroit area sometime in January. Maybe we can work something out? I have a Big Tex MC trailer with the diamond plate wind/rock screen. I could drag it up there, pick it up, and then bring it back. I live in the Birmingham, Alabama area. Tell me what you think.

I have used haulbikes.com, 1-888-haulbikes. It is Daily Direct, I have never had any problems at all. Nice equipment and all they haul are bikes so your bike isn't going to ride 6" from sombodies Bobcat.

i put an ad on uship.com with my price of 500 from nyc to fremont california. i got multiple offers. i dont know if they are scams. too good to be true. any way to find out that these guys wont just take my bike.
option number 2 for me at least is getting a hitch from uhaul on my 07 civic and buying a lightweight cheap trailer from craigslist.

Glad you found someone to transport. i was just going to charge you for fuel from Muskegon to Alabama, but I understand not wanting to use someone you don't really know. When you finally get settled down here, look me up and I can give you a good tour of the roads. I like to go long distances (200 miles +) on my rides, so if you are up for that, I'm your partner.

Not giving myself as an example... but a trailer on the back of your car/ suv/ truck and a few tanks of gas and you are there.
I towed 2 bikes from Boston to New Orleans and than to Miami and back to Boston a month ago. I actually enjoy driving cross country a lot.

oh believe me I would love to do that but we can't break the lease in Mi for a month and it takes that long for the benefits at the new job to start any way. So as we are currently a one car family the wife is keeping the car in Mi for a month, hence shipping the bike again.

I have used them two times, No damage and No wooden crates needed. 18 wheeler
double stacked and inspection sheet for both parties to check. Somewhere I have a $50.00
chip to mail them for a discount on next bike shipped.
