the first was a lockhart phillips chrome db.had to return 1st one because it was all scracthed up. Replacement had to have its nose dremmeled to even mount it.has small swirls that will not polish out.it lacked the bead around the edge of the fairing so you see daylight around the edge which looks shitty up close. You can see through this shield, and wind protection is very good. Its replacement was a sportech chrome v flow db. Fit is good. You can not see through this shield, and wind protection sucks. It also lacks the bead around the fairing ,and you see light up close again looking shitty up close. Puig dark smoke db. Fit is good as is wind protection. This shield. Has the bead around the front edge so you don't see daylight up close.hard to see through the dark tint. The back edge is very rough cut so a rubber edge is provided to cover this ugly up. Lastly is my zero gravity db light smoke.fit is excellent. Finish is superior to all of the above. Back edge is polished nicely. It has a nice bead around the fairing edge. The optics are perfectly clear, and free of distortion. The puig would be my second choice, and all the others are plain shitty. This is an open letter af admitting that I use to say zero gravity stuff is junk ,but they have stepped up their game compared to what they use to make back in the day. Hope this saves someone some change. If anyone is curious about plastic chroming I have a story to pass on about xxx chrome if anyone is thinking about getting a shield chromed.

I really want a black chrome shield but I am not fond of the Sport-tech. On a side note, I started storing my extra visor in-between my dash and shield. It fits perfect and does not hinder handlebar movement. Just be sure to put a rag in there so it does not scratch it.

black chrome windscreen

I called all things chrome to see if it could be done. It can,but it wold cost several hundred dollars to do it. I doubt you want to spend the jack to do bro. Wish I had a better answer for you. I tried the spray on plastic route and just pissed away 100 bucks.
