Rear suspension compression adjuster
Has anyone had the problem of screw drivers not quite fitting the rear suspension compression damping adjuster screw, and making a mess of the adjuster head?
All my screw drivers don't fit it properly, or I just can't get the screw driver on a straght line to turn the adjuster. Any ideas on how to tidy it up, or adjusting it without making more of a mess of the screw head.

It is easy to turn. Double check and make sure you are not turning it the wrong way or too far and bining it up. Try a new long small screw driver with shape edges.

Get a long screw driver and file the blade so it is narrow enough to fit.
Or get a real shock and sell your stocker to a sv650 rider (its a popular mod for a sv) and be really happy.
The stock shock is crap, the spring too weak and the compression/rebound adjustments amount to very little.
Adjusting the preload to compensate for the worthless spring rate wont help.
I didnt get any satisfaction until I replaced the shock and modded the forks and replaced the springs.
Stock stuff is fine for casual riding but if you really push the bike in the twisties the stock stuff doesnt last long.
The 14 suspension is the reason the latest Gen Busa won all the Mag shoot outs.

Any cycle shop sells the tool for the spring. Its a long flat steel tool with a round hook at the end.You need two of them to work right.
