Well this morning when I went to start my bike she turned too slow and didn't even start.
So I had to install my brand new back up oddessy battery.
She's good again and at idle she has 14.2 volts.
Before was like 13.8.

And I think I feel a bit more kick from the old girl too

You should be ok unless the starter sounds like it's not turning over as fast as it once was , or if the guages reset when you try to restart .
My battery was just put through 57,000 miles of hell , heck it even went dead twice . I mean dead , like nothing comes on even a little bit dead ! I am not suprised it got weak! lol!

sounds like your battery got tortured enough, mine is still going strong, i ride regularly and have a battery tender jr for in between, keeping fingers crossed ! thinking abouty a new one just to prevent the inevitable failure....

Dielectric grease is what you would want on the terminals.

Please explain. Is that an assumption? Explain how a battery subjected thousands of start ups and restarts and discharges has no effect on battery life?

I have the original battery in the 954, almost 8 yrs old. That is the toughest battery I have ever seen in any vehicle. It has always had a autocharger on it though.

If you're getting corrosion on the terminals more than likely it's leaking acid at the posts. A sure sign it's going bad. On Odyysey batteries I just replaced one in my BMW that was 6 1/2 yrs. old. By far he longest life I ever got from a bike battery by about 3 years. Needless to say I replaced it with the same, besides they hide the fucking thing under the tank, total dumb shit place for a battery and no way to check or access it if it dies without peeling off all the plastics.

6-1/2 years on the odyssey battery huh , well that's pretty good . I have one on my old honda CB1100F that's been in there since 2002 and the thing is still strong as ever.
I hope it lasts as long or more in the 14
And yes I have the displeasure of dealing with batteries under tanks. I had a bunch of DUCs in my shop before that had em under the tanks.
Fact I just had one in my shop that had a bad battery . It was a 916. What a pos design lol!
