Wheelie Bar and Strut ...

Does anyone on here run a wheelie bar and strut on their 14?
I go to the drags twice a week and really want to launch it hard, but its stock wheelbase. I really dont want to slam it and stretch it like I did my last 14. I took out the drain plug on the last one and it was hard as shit to corner with a 10" over swingarm and was struted. I have a 2step and a lockup and really want to launch it at 9000 rpm with out looking at the sky,a wheelie bar and a strut would really put the power to the ground and when Im done at the track I can take it off in a 1/2 hour or so...
What do you guys think?

You would be running pro et, no longer a street bike. You asked for opinions, and mine personally is that takes ALL the sport out of it. Get a clems pan which you need anyway, and maybe run 4-6" extensions... And take the 2 step off before you loop the bike and learn how to ride that bike!! Its one of the easiest bikes to launch out of a 600 or 1000 with all the tourque.

I dont run in a class sir, just for FUN. Your opinion is cool, but Ive done everything you said 3
years ago and you still cant launch @ 9000 rpm, period. Ive been drag racing bikes
since 1979 when I started on a KZ1000. So I think I know how to ride.
My 1st 14 ran 8.8@ 160mph,but you cant carve well on a 10" over on the street.
And your right,I have to be VERY careful with the 2step! Ive launced it @6500,but thats it.The
front end comes up a lil much.
So my question is who runs with a wheelie bar and a strut?

Why would you need to launch at 9000? why not just run stock whhelbase with some adjustable lowering links and slam it when you get to the track and raise it to stock height when your done? and on a side note dropping the hammer at 9000 with a wheelie bar unless you run a slick would more then likely cause you traction issues.

I assume your going to buy a extra rim so you can still hit the curves.. You've been drag racing longer than I've been born, but I've never seen or heard of anyone launching at 9k. Good luck with it sir!

weren't those old supersport 600s launching at 15,000!!!! I remember reading something insane like that. When Schnitz used to race that 600 class, they would take them practically off the limiters.

thats what me and my buddy launch his r6 at. its a 2007. no torque below 10 grand. i think max torque is around 32ft. scares the shit out of everyone watching/hearing. anything less and it will bog like a mofo. for anyone that drag races a big bike, you have to try out a 600 every now and then. tons of fun being able to launch a bike that hard and not have it disappear out from under you. really forces better clutch control and being aggressive with the throttle since the bog is so much more punishing.
