sock exhaust mods.

Has anyone tried to remove the cads in the stock cans for weight? Im curious what mods can be made to the stock system and still keep it quiet. I think one of the down sides to the stock system is the four into one manifold before the split.Im considering cutting that off and making it a two into one for each side.I have a shop out here that can make that mod has it been done before?? Thanks for any info.

I wouldn't call it a mod but a hack. Don't do it. What will be best is to save the headache and just get a real pipe. It's your bike...do as you wish

Cut an 06 can apart the cat doesn't weigh much the rest does and isn't worth the bother. I always thought that Muzzy slip ons are some of the loudest so might reconsider other brand Yosh full system with insert quiet and power compared to stock.

I dont of anyone who tried that. I took my first 14 head pipe and cut off the split and made it into a open BIG LOUD single for the Drags.
Go with a REAL header to make power...
If your looking for sound and looks,I have 2 Muzzy Oval Carbon Fiber Slip-ons for sale...
