Winter Storage with Race Gas??

A buddy of mine has always stored his bike with a 50/50 89 octane/ 104 race gas for the winter with good results. Im thinking about doing the same since I'm down about half tank and I'm ready to put the bike away for the winter. Any thoughts?? Good? Bad?

Mix some seafoam or other fuel stabilizer in with a full tank of gas and run the engine abit and you should be fine. I've heard bad things about race gas sitting for extended periods in fuel systems.

I though race gas didn't go bad like standard pump fuel.

Fill it up with regular fuel and put sea foam or fuel stabil in it. No reason in wasting race fuel.

Why not just drain it? Why take the risk of damaging your fuel pump? Its really a no brainer.

YIKES!!~!!

an empty tank, pump, rail, etc is the worst thing you can do for long term storage = corrosion

Fill it brim-full with regular fuel, so there's no air space left in the tank and a fuel injected bike should be fine.

I did mean drain just the race gas. Maybe I should not have assumed he knows it's bad to store dry.

LOL actually you will make a little less HP with high octain fuel, it's only function is to stop detination. Run as low octain as you can for peak performance.
