Sargent Seat

I'm thinking of getting the Sargent ZX14 seat for comfort and the storage compartment. I don't ride two up (only exception when someone crashed on a ride). I ride mostly street and occasional road track, no drag racing at this time. How much storage is there and is the light a gimmick? Any input from someone that has this seat?

so what you're trying to say in this is that 100% of the time you carry dudes on the back of your bike? you don't have to defend yourself man. We'll still be your friend even if you are

Lots of good features. I remember when they first came out a few said that they might buy them (me included) but haven't seen any posts since then. Thought I'd ask to see if they were any good over stock. I have a Mustang for the HD and that has been a great assist over stock.

My Sargent seat was just delivered to my house this past Friday. I didn't get the storage pod option as I only carry my wallet and phone when riding, and they fit in my jacket. Nobody ever gets on the back of my bike and the cowl is only ever removed for cleaning.
Haven't seen the seat in person yet, but my wife tells me it looks great. Will see it in 5 weeks when I get back from "The Sand".

I like my Sargent seat alot, had about 2 months, $314OTD, took 5 weeks to get. I had my original redone here in Florida, didn't like it. The Sargent is well made, high quality and looks better than my origianl. I don't think they have the storage box ready yet that you are talking about. I might buy when it is available.

I thought I posted the pics here before. My seat was one of the first ones produced, ordered still with the intro promo, with leather top cover option. I have to say, it's not exactly a looker, as the center portion is raised quite high, however, this is the only way to create a comfortable pillion platform in order to keep the passenger from sliding forward under braking. The workmanship is excellent and the gel foam does great job to keep you comfortable for 3 - 4 hours rides and beyond.

Kinda cool with the raised center. I bet the passenger likes it!
My wife would miss the backrest I got with my corbin. And I like putting on the seat cowl when I ride solo .Does the seat cowl fit with the sargent?

It does fit with the modular seat though. With the modular you can remove the pillion seat and just have the drivers seat on and the rear cowl area becomes a storage area.

Hey guys I never really posted here before...but I am glad I came across this thread. If you guys go to the Sargent cycles website and see the Black zx 14 they have..I am proud to say that you are looking at my bike!! I was actually the first person to recieve the Sargent seat for a ZX 14 and it was given to me for free for letting them use my bike for fitment and pictures. Either way I have the modular seat and I had to buy the back seat for my passenger. It is worth every penny! The rear seat is alot wider and has a dip so that it fits the arse end of my passenger alot better. No the rear cowl does not fit over the seat but all you have to do is remove the rear seat and put the cowling on...no biggie
