Interesting point about the break in Bently..........I did 500 miles never above 5k rpms, then took it straight to the track. I also run the 0 weight oil which is supposed to be worth a couple HP.

Based on my experience with BST's and doing LSR and dragstrip passes...I'd say the wheels and bearings are not worth even 2 mph. In fact, I would say that the benefit from the bearings is almost unmeasurable...except when you have to push the bike.

I have another friend who has the BST's and ceramic bearings, and there has not been a huge difference in performance. Sometimes figures are quoted.."2 MPH from wheels", "1 MPH from bearings", "1 MPH from 0 Weight oil", etc.. What you will find is that each of these little changes do add up...but no single one makes a huge improvement.

All of that being said, I would love to see some back-to-back testing. I don't have an oem front wheel, or I would be willing to do a comparison test with my bike...BST's with ceramics vs. OEM. I think the big advantage with the BST's is in handling; the effects are VERY apparent.

I think that is about in line for your weight, Dusty. I think Wee's bike runs about 148-149 range. Mine ran 149-150 range earlier this year on pump gas, at about 40-45 lbs. lighter than your overall setup.

lol... I'm still waiting to get to the track now that i'm lighter and the bike is long and in the dirt. i weighed myself this morning when i got up and in my chonies I weigh 167 lbs. If all goes well, by next spring when i go to Texas I'll be 155-160 lbs. It's going to be a lot of hard work though. I will say that putting the brocks springs in my bike along with new fibers made it pull like nothing i've ever ridden before. I was so used to my smoked clutches that i forgot how these things were supposed to accelerate lol. I had always suspected that my clutches were going on me but when i pulled them and saw how much they were worn my low MPH really made sense.
