Corbin hard bag info?

I've been trying to get some info from Corbin as to when they might be able to color match a set of their hard bags to the 2010 SE colors and they never answer my emails. Considering what they get for this product, I would think that they'd be eager to send me some info - or at least acknowledge the receipt of my inquiry.

Anybody out there have any experience with these bags or the company in general?

Thanks in advance for any info, it is very much appreciated. .

I work at a dealership and I have to deal with Corbin a few times a month. Their customer service and quality is doing down hill QUICK ! I hope they get back to you but don't hold your breath.

I like the seat the Corbin hard bags are too pricey and they are only good if you keep duel exhaust.

the beanie bag luggage on the ZX14 Corbin offers looks like asshat. Also the company has been in financial ruins and they haven't been able to find anyone that wants the business. Be careful dealing with that outfit.

quote:
One of the largest aftermarket parts manufacturers, Corbin Pacific (known best for its Corbin seats line) is up for sale. On the chopping block since early this year, the California based company has been unable to find a buyer.

Investment bankers are asking $11.5 million for the company, which has offices in both California and Florida. With over $14 million in revenue for 2008, that puts the asking price around the industry standard .8 multiple. Corbin’s net income in 2008 was $1.9 million, which puts operating margins around 13%. If you’ve got a pention for cutting fat, and a $3 million down payment, you too could own your very own seat manufacturer.

Well, screw 'em then. If their customer service and quality is in the crapper, then I don't want anything to do with them.

Thanks for the info, it probably saved me a big hassle.

Ride safe,

John

I was thinking that too...
I can't think of his name either. He had the tall middle bag too, just behind and above the rear seat. He kept the dual exhaust and did a lot of riding. If I remember correctly he got a hard time from just a couple people but he was pretty quiet. If someone uses the search on here I know that he did start a thread about his 14 with hard bags. (luggage key word?) He was from Iowa or Ohio... Midwest I think. You are right the bike was red. That was in '06.

I have seen a couple of 14s run through with the hard bags and going past it looks fine. I suppose anyone can find something wrong or ugly about them but they look C14ish if you just glance... (not mistake them as a c14, but the looks are acceptable.)

I'd love to have those bags.
Think they are perfect for my Red 06.
But, $1,800 + questionable build quality combined with horrid customer service?
I'll just buy the 2010 Connie and keep the 14 for twisties etc.
