biggmo, my 1287 worked fine at 13.5:1 on 87 octane with 5 degrees at the track. i wouldnt suggest going over 3 tho unless the pistons and combustion chambers were well prepped. your 1270 is around that CR right?
my gearing is 1 down 3 up and i have the low first trans gear. your driving style and suspension could be causing you to wheelie. get it to squat hard on the launch and come back up real slow. go on youtube and type in ama dragbike and watch how the prostreet guys do it. try to copy that driving style. it took me a long time but im starting to get it.

My 240 isn't doing too bad, LOL.
I m sure my riding style sucks, but after its setup right then I will know its all me, I will try 87 next time, it supposed to b 13.5 1, but never done compression or leakdown, sucks here cause track closes for a few months n the weather still nice, high 50 low 60, I watch the vids but errytime I get to the tree I situp like I m at a traffic light, LOL, I can do it on a backroad though, I think the air ride gives me more problems as far as wheelies. I just want to go like a 9.4 the way the bike is, some guys r doing 9.1,9.2s wit the track ready bikes, I want to make them look bad wit a mid to low 9 custom, plus my 1270 needs some headwork to really performing like it should, may do stage 1 carpenter, ne one heard of lazer

They way it sounds you have a bunch opf variables working against you for drag racing. The heavy 240 trie and rim for one, I assume the air ride is soft? I've never sat on one with it but if it squats a lot then your loosing momentum off the start. Does the air ride weigh a lot?

Not only is a 240 heavy, but they don't hook for shit either. Dad never did find a tire that would hook on his 109... it probably made a little more torque off the line though lol.

LOL, c how I saved detroitracer, LOL, just playing, actually my 240 is a pirelli Diablo n it hooks very well, at the track I run 18 to 22 Psi n only broke loose once n that came from sitting after burnout waiting for someone that broke down n took to long to get off track. I know I ain't track ready but damn its fun, I have been 5 times n went from a 10.37 to 9.87 n picked up 6 MPH, I luv it, lol

Consdering the set up and weight of the bike (and your weight), the bike is moving pretty well. Most bikes that are set up like yours are for posing, from what I've seen.

Very cool if you get those 9.4's! You definitely need more gear with that weight...and I bet the tire is taller than stock as well, which means you need even more gear.

I can speak for myself i have a 08 busa and I have trapped close to that on motor with my bike (stock motored bike ) . And I weigh in at 230 + unsuited . We can all agree the busa has a slight power advantage over the 14 . The 14 has a much better clutch setup (feel wise ) This is why I think 14 riders usauly run better 60ft and busa riders run better mph. Here is my exact run earlier in the year . This was done on 93 pump my bike was 62.5 at the time

rt.. .071
60. 1.51
330. 3.91
1/8. 5.87
mph.126.48
1000.7.59
1/4.. 9.005
mph..156.32

I am just looking at your 3.13 back half. That is quicker than a 140-150 lb rider we have here (Smokin)....and he smashes your ET by almost .25.

Pretty surprising. In fact, your back half is also quicker than Racers ran...by .03. And you were running higher octane fuel, which usually slows you down.

I'm not calling BS or anything, just looking at the numbers. It would be great if everyone could run on the same day at the same track, but that's not the way it works...

I agree if we all went to the track on the same day that would put a lot of haters to rest . I used this ticket as an example of what a completly stock bike can run with a heavy guy . This was my highest mph when the bike was stock . Nooby and myself are going to Orlando Speedway on friday . Im curious to see what his feather weight self can run on my bike seeing that he is light and know how to launch really well.

u know shinko now makes a 240 tire now, hint for ur dad! My friend has changed his 240 over to a 280 on his 109, did the air ride n a few other things, bike is gorgeous, he runs wit me to wilmington on bike nights n he runs his bike up to 130 n holds it there for a few miles, its limited to 130 but to see him do it like that is crazy, lol. N he weighs in over 250 himself, his exhaust is scary loud, if i was to get a cruiser that would b my next bike, only wit a 300. The 280 fit on his stock arm also. They say the 300 will to wit a little mod but he did the 280 to be safe, he has the metzler i think n we all know that ME80 or whatever it is will spin all day, i stilll got mine in the shed, i took it off cause every light i was bein left sittin sideways, not nemore, lol

Nooby can ride , i have seen him in action .. He should go real fast on your Busa seeing you have motor work done along with some other tricks ..Oh by the way we don't hate you or your bike but we do dislike people that will not come clean on what mods they have .. Remember you were the one that came after us zx14 owners talking smack ..Good luck in Orlando Friday , you should have some record good air that day with the cold front that just came in ..

dad got rid of the 109 for his 14. It was a fun bike to watch at the track though. Nothing like a 700+ pound cruiser with a fat ass that in bone stock trim will run 7.40 at 95 mph in the 1/8th :P. Talk about one 600 smashing cruiser. With nothing more than a JSD-3m and my 150lb dad on it it went 150 mph *as per our GPS*. just took a little while to get there lol.
