if I can figure what horsepower it takes to get 722 lbs from 5.75 1/8 mile to 8.91 1/4 mile, and number is 230hp, then the rider says its a stock motored Booza on pump fuel, gilberjj if you want to believe that? LOL sell your under powered ZX14 and get a 230 hp Booza.

Although there is a small possibility that the clocks are off, the more probable answer was he was spraying...and looking at his 1/8 mph, he was spraying before the 1/8 mile mark. Even Stevie Wonder can see it.

I guess I'm a trusting individual.
Racers ran the numbers when he was on his 14, and he seems to be a very good rider. Brock himself said that the busa makes more power then the 14. Where the extra 7 mph is coming from, I don't really know. I just find it amusing how everyone gets worked up over a busa running great numbers. People don't seem to be running faster ets with more power, but from what I've seen, they consistently trap higher with the busa.
On another note, I had one slip where I went 412 mph on a 10.1 pass. I wish I would have kept that ticket...... That's what happens when the lights get tweeked after an accident at the end of the track.

It's not that it's a Busa. There was the same interest when Nooby and Smokin posted their numbers; in their case it turned out to be great air, favorable winds, and lightweight jockey's. And the MR9 in Nooby's case.
This whole thread read like troll bait anyway. That is why I didn't bother to ask his ET's in the first place.
"Golly, are these times any good?"
"Gee whiz, does my body weight affect my 60 foot?"
Come on, man!

My goodness, Racers is rolling on that Busa...
We all know he is a rider from the short times he pulls and from the times he ran on the 14.
However, the 158mph at 230lbs is unbelievable. We have 135 pound rider at our track that ran 155mph at 62in and DA was 168 on Sunday.. Oh yeah and 129 in the 1/8th is crazy... Im gonna say the timers were happy that day. Keep doing your thing on the bike Racers.

LOL you guys are killing me here. Now you want to call me a TROLL Shane??? Everytime I have seen someone post a better time or mph than you, you get all worked up and say its not possible or that you dont understand how someone else's bike can go faster than yours with the same stuff or less bla bla bla, you need a reason why someone is going faster than you. I HOPE DRAGGGING ME THROUGH THE MUD YESTERDAY HELPED YOU AND WEE SLEEP BETTER LAST NIGHT. THE BIKE IS WHAT IT IS AND RUNS WHAT IT RUNS. DONT WORRY SO MUCH ABOUT IT.
I have nothing to prove and nothing to gain here. I asked an honest question, all I wanted to know is if its possible to run 1.3x's at my weight or if I should forget about it. I posted the same thread on few different boards and was just looking for some more input from some fellow drag racers since I wasnt get much feedback from others.

Dude, nobody thinks that 158 is even remotely real. I know that you don't even believe it.
I don't get worked up except when I see #'s that obviously don't add up. So what, someone is faster than me? Big deal, there is always someone faster. But I know when numbers don't add up...and you do too.
Like I said, your ET looks reasonable. The mph not so much. Are you really serious when you ask "Does my weight affect my 60'?", "Do these times look any good?", and that kind of crap? Come on. You know what the times are, and you have a lot of seat time, and 26 years experience...so why the noob questions?
So, cool...you have a fast Busa. Good deal. Imagine how fast it is going to run on MR9...like 160+ with a 230 lb rider...gotta get me one of those!
Hey, don't get your feelings so hurt...it's just the internet.

Hey, why not forget about the mph? Like I said, the ET looks reasonable...and it could simply be that the mph clocks were off.

sometimes i wonder why everyone runs better times than us down here near the gulf of mexico. The only person ive seen run very well for a 200+ guy is ninjaboy. Hes in the 8s and very consistent. So i guess anything is possible. All 14 arent created equal. Same goes for rider skill. So anything is possible as strange as it may sound.

quote: I don't know what the calculator says, but 3.16 and 3.25 are world's apart. Since hp makes the back half, I'm just saying. My bike does 3.22 on MR9, with a bike/rider combined weight of 685-690 lbs in air with a DA of about 900'. The bike is making over 186 hp SAE as well, on a stingy dyno. My best mph is 154.74, but 152.xx is typical (#'s on MR9).
I don't believe in all these calculators, either, though. Just saying that 3.16 & 158 is a lot different than 3.25 and 150 mph!
I also think those ET's are possible, stock motor...just the mph raises some questions.

My 3.25 is pretty good I'm 760 on a certified scale and that was pump gas. and the heat of the summer

Da fukk you calling D-bag? You totally ignored me because I am REMINDING PEOPLE OVER AND OVER YOU USED NITROUS IN ORDER TO RUN 158. Cut the crap. I'm about 1/2 your weight and my 12 weighs less than you, on a small dry shot I went a 155, just tapping it in 3rd and 4th...essentially the back 1/2. We're talking a rider and bike combo of under 600 lbs, and thats WITH the bottle on.
But SOMEHOW your HEAVIER BIKE with LESS RWHP and a HEAVIER RIDER went 3 MPH FASTER? Dude, stop lying. And your misguided statement of "If I had nitrous on the bike I wold run much better than 8.90" is a perfect example of FLAWED LOGIC. There are people who can spray all day and not go 8.90s....there are people who can run on motor and go 8.80s.
LETS TRY THIS AGAIN: THE ISSUE ISN'T YOUR ET.....ITS YOUR
M P H
Get it? Don't talk to me about spray homeboy, I've sprayed for 1.5 miles flat out. The MPH in my sig was hard earned. No one appreciates or respects someone who fluffs up their numbers and leaves out vital details like nitrous. As a fellow board member put it best:
"...when people lie about their performance.. It makes the legit guys seem less impressive by comparison. Definately not cool.. Personally its my biggest pet peeve in this sport. Its like someone casting a shadow on your hard earned achievements." -- Phantom
Now stop jumping around and throwing up smokescreens, arguing about your 60 ft, bringing up your ET, mentioning how you think its a Busa vs 14 witchhunt. Its your inflated MPH that is under question and you simply haven't provided any sound reason or argument to help substantiate your stock motor, 87 octane 230 lb azz fairy tale. You can have a phenomenal rider on a stock arm run the same ET as an avg joe with a stretched bike....but the trap speed tells the tale when it comes to power to weight ratio...and frankly, at 230 lbs going 158 mph....you fukking sprayed it, plain and simple.
