ZX14, ive owned both, same mods, even when the Booza was 10" over my 14 is still faster, that doesnt fly well on the Booza forum, they would still deny it, same tracks same time of the seasons, same tires
wee
Wouldn't that sum it up? Someone that has owned both? Same mods?
Not really as I had both with same mods and they ran pretty much dead on the same. wouldn't that sum it up.

There are no gen2 busas in the super sport class . Chris jones is doing his thing in the super street class with the turbo 14 . Brock did the same thing with a 06 zx14 stock wheelbase and the 2008 busa . The busa ran the fastest of the two bikes .

I think it was 8.91 on an 08 Busa vs. 9.00 on an 06 ZX-14, wasn't it?

Like I said both bikes are damn near dead even with each other . The edge of a mph or et still goes to the busa . The busa has a much more slippery surface than the zx14 and requires less whp to reach the top speed . This is the main reason the hayabusa comes out victorious in many of these land speed events .

One of the Super Sport guys said it was not a power issue with the Busa but a clutch issue is why they are not there. The 14 clutch is superior for that class.

The 14 has a far superior radial clutch setup . I found a lever on ebay I am thinking of buying it . I wonder if it will work?

You should try it. I've ran at 14 different LSR events in the last 3 years, on 5 different bikes. It's a lot of fun, and I did break 200 mph on the 14 this year.

It isnt the master cylinder thats the trick, it is the entire clutch assembly.

The 2006 zx14 ( Brocks bike ) that ran 9.01 was done in the day time .. The Busa that ran 8.90s ( Brocks bike also ) did it at night with a DA that was the much lower and cooler air than when the zx14 made its run .... Had they tested them both at night , one right after the other with the same rider it may have had a different outcome ..

The way I see it is: How fast are YOU on your own bike? Who cares which is faster with the super jockey on it?
Besides, if you like your bike are you going to trade it off for another over .05? Or are you going to learn to ride it better? Or maybe lose some weight if you are a fat-ass. I'm just sayin'.....

That is the main thing, yes. I guess that is why they make a 1pc hub kit for it.
I really dont know what the supersport class allows for clutch mods besides springs.

Ive been reading this whole post. I can tell ya 1 thing, i can go faster on a zx14 than a busa. And its bcuz of the clutch. Bikes make close to same power. zx14 better for average guy.

I had a chance to buy a new 08 Busa cheap but after owning two of them and riding the 08 i said no way .. My zx14 has a better clutch , better brakes , much smoother and better looking ( IMO ) Even if it was a one tenth faster NO way .. My 06 zx14 was fast but my Gen2 zx14 is a bit faster and it's a keeper .. Now if Zooky came out with a good looking super busa ( 220 HP ) sure i'd buy one !!! Not much chance of that happening anytime soon ...

i dont see the whole clutch debate between the 2 bikes, i can see with 2 brand new riders that have never ridden before most would cut a quicker ET with the 14 over the busa because its easier to launch for a bad rider, but for guys that have been riding some time on there own bikes it should not be a problem.
If i have the same amount of seat time on a busa as i do my 14 im sure i could go just as quick on the 60' and the 330'

On a longer wb this is a true statement as I see it on my number one nemisis' 08 busa. For all of last year it was eating his lunch but now he has adjusted to it after going 9inches over. The control of the clutch at shorter lengths is where the 14 stands out.

I am not losing a pound. I would rather just make more power. I hit the gym on a daily and trying to get to that exclusive 500lb bench press club before I get to old.....lol. So every pound of muscle I can pack on the better. I honestly don't see how some of you guys maintain 150lb or Less. Do you guys have a regular diet?
