The Busas i race with ( we have very few busas to race with ) Don't run my MPH .. But there are just to many factors to say why they don't MPH like my bike ... I can only go by what Brock said "The busa traps a bit more MPH than the zx14" I have no reason not to believe what Brock said but i have not seen it here at my tracks .. But i don't see many Busas either , mostly zx14s and Gixxer 1000s .. If any of you guys have seen my videos you know i drag my feet and that does cost me MPH.. If i put my feet on the pegs i would see a bit more .. Again it comes down to the rider , bike tune and i'm sure a host of other things .. I have seen as high as 158 on my zx14 , hell if i know why ..

In the weather we have had in the last few weeks, my buddy's 08 Busa and my 07 14 are running 147-148 but he has been 1/100th quicker. 148 is the fastest his has ever been. We will see what is what when the track opens next year. It will be cold then.

how much do you weigh? Not taking anything away from the 14 but on the dyno(I have been to many). The busa with similiar mods always puts down slightly more power. That also seems to. Reflect on the local tracks in my area. I. Put my bone stock 1 week old gen2 busa with factory everything on a dj250 and put down 169whp. My boy on his bone stock everything.08 Zx14 put down 161whp. At the track they both run damn near dead even with the edge going to the. Busa

I hear the busa putting a few hp more on the dyno. But at our local track they just don't show the times. Don't get me wrong, once in a blue moon a busa will show up and run a fast time, IF he can get it to run consistant. On the other hand the 14's are consistantly faster and 98 percent of the 14's here are completely stock motor.

Lets take all the variables and bias out of the equation . Gen 2 busa vs a 08-09zx14 same day at the track equal riders and all mods are the the same ,gas ,tuner , etc..... which bike would run the fastest times ?

Without being biast, that's hard to say. There are too many variables to compare exact mod for mod. It seems that either the busas around here are bone stock or they have a LOT of extras. With the hp numbers they put down I would think they would be faster, but 1/4 mile time tells the truth.

ZX14, ive owned both, same mods, even when the Booza was 10" over my 14 is still faster, that doesnt fly well on the Booza forum, they would still deny it, same tracks same time of the seasons, same tires

I have seen as high as 154 on my 06 14 at 245+ suited on pump. I only done it once and it was great air and a slight tailwind. I have done more than a handfull of 152-153's. Depending on the weather here in Indiana i have seen as low as 148 also. I average around 150'ish with 1.41-1.44 60's. I have since lost alot of weight and got down to around 185-190 suited, but now I can't ride the bike worth a shit. The winters really fuck me up having to take 6 months off at a time without any practice. I have run the same numbers with pump and race fuel. I couldnt manage anymore than a 9.10 this year with a horrible 60 and that was even in the heat of july.

You can't compair the two bikes even if the mods are the same .. The Ram air on the zx14 is much better than the busa ... The Busa is less ram air dependent to make it's hp and will make better HP numbers on the dyno than a zx14 ..But going down the track the zx14s ram air comes into play more than a busa adding as much as 10 extra HP at high speeds to the zx14...........
Go back to Brocks at Maxton ... He got his 2006 zx14 to go 200 .. Jump to 2008 and he got his new Busa to go 201 with the same mods .. Granted it was 2 years a part and we don't know what the air was like on either of those days .. But it does tell you that there is no real difference between the two bikes... Brocks dyno only showed a HP or two difference between the two bikes ..

I really can't say ... But i will say this , AMA Prostar Super Sport class the zx14 has been winning for the last few years .. I have not seen a Busa win that class ... One would think if a Busa is faster why haven't we seen a busa win the class ..That has to tell you something ..
Two of the zx14s in that class are modded and tuned by Brock and crew ...
