most grude races are ran on pro tree so there's no red lights. only thing is some guys suck on the pro tree. real easy to get 2 tenths advantage right there.

I have run both, but definitely more accustomed to the Sportsman.
But when I become a big time grudge racer that is all going to change.

I'm not smoking, but nelson around here you can expect 6 mph or so if you get on it in the top of first, 4 to 5 mph if you wait to second. but lets see what smoking says as well.

Joey Gladstone ran 160 MPH in Super Sport at Valdosta. That is what kills me in this forum when people make uneducated statements and false accusations of anyone fast having all kinds of work done to mine and others bikes. Those supersport bikes are finely tuned machines and have tons of dyno time and very minor engine mods. My 158 seems very reasonable after looking at the results from AMA races. I am sure that with a 30 shot my bike would go close to 170mph. 
good luck picking up 12 mph with a 30 shot. All I'm going to say is i raced in 4 different states this year and the highest mph I saw was a 130 lb rider on an 08 busa with pipe and tune and it ran 154 once and alot of 153's I still say average mph for a busa or 14 is 149 to 152 and those supersport bikes have alot of little tricks done and engine tricks that fit the rules to run that kind of mph and they make 190 or better for hp on stingy dynos.
I think your right on with the mph of 14's, but not with the gen2 busa's. Gen2 Busa's mph higher than 14's. And thats just a fact. I know what I say doesnt mean d#ck around here, so ask Smokin. I have even seen him post that before. The same day I was at the track with my 14 running 151mph another guy on a stock motored busa setup the same way as my 14 was running 154-155 all day long on the same gas as me. No LIE, just a fact. Its not a big deal it just is what it is.

i'm calling shanannagans on your busas mph higher than 14's comment. They definitely don't at my track.

not here they don't. got hundreds of slips to prove it. my 08 busa ran 149 to 150 and so did my 14. all the 08 busa's around here run 149. .

First off my bike is not stripped .. I don't have weight pulled off like he does and i do have a stock motor and he doesn't ... Our track here gets pissed if you ask for a pro tree , they get mad and you never know what you will get ..

lol, my wife is supposed to pop any day now. If she has the baby before then i'll be there... otherwise i'll be calling my buddies who are going.
When are you going to come down to Barona to run in thin air? You can crash on my couch and make some passes on the 14 lol.

Lol im gonna keep my mouth shut when it comes to mph. No but seriously, who knows what he has done to his motor. I think it traps over 160 on motor with a lightweight on it. So with a small shot I could see it getting close. Like Bently said a 30 shot can give you 6mph or so if you get on it soon enough. So who knows.
And like you said, who cares about mph. When it comes down to it MPH doesnt mean sh@t when drag racing. Its who crosses the stripe first

I picked up 9 MPH on my 30 shot ... 154 to 163 .. That was running 93 with the spray Vs 87 on the motor pass ..

We don't see that kind of gain here on nos either. 8 mph on a 40 shot getting it on in first gear that's on 3 different bikes on 93 pump as well.

I'm hoping so too... I've never run 1/4 mile before so it would be a nice change. The only thing that sucks is that i don't have an NHRA license so i'm not even sure they'd let me run.

I really don't care what tree they give but i hate switching back and forth the same day...Fucks me up when they do that ...I ran pro tree all year in the heads up maddness races and came in 3rd in points for the year and that was against much faster bikes .. I guess i did ok ..

Just curious, did your busa or your friends have brocks pipe and tune in it? We have another local guy with a 2gen busa with a full pipe(forget which one) and a custom tune that has yet to run over 151mph. So that might have something to do with it.
All I can say is I had brocks track map in my 14 with brocks supporting mods and my bike never went faster than 152mph and this was with a crazy negative DA. And on the same day a fellow rider was putting 3-4mph on me every pass on his busa that had the same brocks parts and track map. My busa has always mph'd higher than my 14 ever did. Just what ive experienced.

Ive never had an official at an all bike even ask to see my nhra license. But its easy to get, your running the times, the worst part is having to do the cough(physical), LOL.

Yup mine and my buddy's had brocks pipes and maps no 154 here not even close.

i've got the physical already done. I fly for a living so i have to keep a current flight physical at all times . I just haven't had a chance to make my passes and pay the money yet.
