Congratulations! Get your bike fixed up and come out to Bonneville next Sep. We haven't had a turbo 14 out there yet.

Terry and a few of my friends from here at home have been trying to talk me into it. I want to get it back together and improve on my number at the Mile before I make any commitment,,, But it is not out of the realm of possibility.

Gary's brotjer Robert is the current "heavyweight" in TFA.
6' 6"+ over 400# he will prob be riding a turbo busa in March

I am right at 250# suited, maybe a few lbs shy

It was only the little guys 210 or less complaining about traction! He should be able to do it easily as long as the weather and wind are right!

traction at launch is always an issue at any of the Mile events, but once underway traction is not an issue for me at all. Must be my FatAss

I'm currently 6'5", 335-340lbs suited. I should probably go do it on the salt: with my weight I know I could get better traction than most! ... would suck for those that followed though: My rut would be like a ditch meandering down the straightaway; guys would be crashing left and right...

Problems I have are too wide of shoulders, and long azz torso: have to scoot back on the seat just to fit my helmet behind the windscreen, and my shoulders just flat out hang out in the wind. Last time I went to the limiter I to tuck in my left shoulder and put my arm on the side of the gas tank and the uneven lift/drag caused me a nasty turbulance that almost pulled my right hand off the throttle! Just gotta grin and bear it I guess.

I still have the shoes. To say the least my toes were a little toasty! But I had not noticed until he ask!

Just couldn't bring myelf to get rid of them, they were nearly new. The guy that was waiting on me has always referred to them as my Simpson Brake Shoes!

I did it in 1994 on one of my first 8 second passes on a all motor car tire bike. I weighed 278 suited at the time. the package weighed 770. I was just the fat guy back then. I am working just being the old guy now!

Dang just got into the 200+ mph club! Guess you have to have a goal? You know I realize it is just a t-shirt,,, but it is by far the most comfortable shirt I own! I'll bet these would feel even better?

Good advise, She has agreed to go back in March and I have to do it before I would have to worry about explaining. It should be easier than explaining about to much boost? The secondary injectors should take care of that.

It was mapped for 17 to 18 pounds.

It still looked fast anyway!
