time slips are comming around!

today was one of the best days on the new 14. as a lot of you know i have had a hard time getting this bike to run in the low 9's as the 06 did. it was really good weather. high was mid 70's with humidity starting out at 35 % and ended up at 28% by 4pm.
this was the first time running it at a good track with the pc and flies pulled.
i got probably 10 passes and started out slow running 6.0/5.95's &9.25/9.30's the first 5 passes, but ended up running these two good runs. every pass was faster!
i would scan them but the scanner just took a big crap.

3:01pm
rt -.009
60ft 1.405
330 3.823
1/8 5.863
mph 120.09
1000 7.644
1/4 9.168
mph 147.60

3:38pm
rt .075
60ft 1.421
330 3.829
1/8 5.874
mph 119.72
1000 7.657
1/4 9.182
mph 147.36

nowhere near wheelies times, but it seems to me that the 330's are getting closer to matching the 1/8mile times now. the only thing i didnt do, and i did not think of it was pull the air filter. was running 18psi in rear as well. unless we have a 50 deg day, great air, i dont think it will get much faster. im thinking next week when i put the michelin tire on and add more links (i didnt stretch the chain because SCHNITZ SCREWED ME AGAIN on not shipping parts when they said, but thats a whole nother topic. they WILL NEVER see another penny from me again! thats a promise) it will be a hair quicker. i was fighting a little bit of the tire trying to come up, but pulling a 1.405 60ft was a shock for me!

That's very cool man! I wonder what it is about the 09's that are different than the 06's on the strip?

not a man, just a young, chunky kid compared to you guys!! i dont expect ya'lls numbers but i did want this bike to run the same as the old one, and it finally did.
i believe shane was right about pinning the throttle. after my first 5 or so passes i got on here and read my other thread again. remembered to try and pin the throttle asap. i dunno if that did it, but it went down every pass. thanks guys for the help!
