Like noob said shane, until you launch hard enough to pick the front tire up, you might not need it ____________

The guy with wheelie bars that you made fun in another thread isn't looking so silly anymore, is he?
Seriously, I have had the Clem's pan since day one. Nothing compares unless you want to spend a LOT MORE money and/or run a sidewinder .......................

You only need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

Even if my bike flips over and breaks both of my arms...that guy would still look pretty ridiculous. But, if it makes him happy that's all that matters.

That is the main reason I had to gear my bike 16/42 instead of 16/44. I am too heavy for 16/42 at 235 suited, but it is a lot easier to control wheelies. I realize I am losing some et but I would be a lot worse off if something happened because of a tired clutch hand again.

Shane, I am with ya. I would rather loop over too than to run wheelie bars. hehehe. Seriously though like eklipse said, When I broke my pan it just happened. I never in the past wheelied that high and really did nothing different just for some reason it came up so fast the only thing I could do was insantly let off of the throttle. You know I am busting your balls about lifting the front tire. You have taught me alot on here about 14's so I would never F with you like that.

I know it can easily happen...that's why I got an exhaust with more clearance and will be making further changes in the oil pan dept...just to play it safe!!

Shane its all in fun... I'm trying to have positive spirits ab working on my bike the last 2 days to make it faster, and I just keep getting set backs. My fiance acts more pissed off ab me having to buy another pan. She says its getting into our "wedding account" ____________

Kawajockey I asked shannon ab that and he said I could reuse the pan gasket.. Nothing was said about oil tube. Orings... I've never taken a pan off, so this is new to me.

Dont take a chance on the pan gasket! Get a new one. They can leak when reused as mine did. If you dont have a manual to see the 2 orings, Kawasakis website or Ronayers has parts drawings to see what I'm talking about. The orings can be reused if not damaged but are only 2 bucks a pc so why not be prepared. A pan gasket is around 20 bucks. Do a search here about the orings as I had given the part numbers in another thread.

Glad your ok eklipse. I 12 o-clocked mine last time I was home. Came all off the throttle and land very hard on the front tire. Still had the stock pan on at that time. I didn't raise the forks in the trees any. With my 2.25" internal fork mod. it left me with 2" in lower leg travel with 2.75" under the pan. Also the kit required 10w oil. Made it very stiff. I have the Clems pan at home waiting. I will put the lower profile tire once I make the switch. Your girl sounds like mine but they get used to the spending on our hobby after a few years (hehe). Just another option for you although I not as fast as most of you guys yet.

I will be going in November to Valdosta. I am just going to watch though. I will email or call ya as it gets closer to the day.

No, I don't think so. The AMA license is expensive and I honestly want to watch some of the big boys run without stressing over my bike.
