post me some pics of you zx-10 fenders on your 14

hey guys so I told my wife about my desire to buy a zx-10 fender and put it on my 14. Well she said it was ugly. So do me a favor and post up pics of your bike with a ZX-10 fender on it so she can see exactly what I am talking about.

I don't think it's right for her to be calling the shots since it's your bike...

I posted a pic of mine in the other thread and it's a killer mod IMHO.

she don't call the shots. but she is very opinionated on what is cool on a bike. we don't always see eye to eye. I am just trying to get her to see it my way. Its not like she is telling me I can't do it.

dont tell any one but she still wants a gsxr1k, but I think its ugly

Now.........you may be able to get it approved with the '08/'09 fender, which I think looks much better than the '06/'07 member.

I just don't think I like the looks of the smaller front fender on such a big bike, looks out of place to me. Comptons bike is one of the cleanest 14s I have seen in person by the way.

The extra cooling benefits alone are worth it, plus it's easier to tie a bike down on a trailer or truck without risking damage to the fender.....

I like the look. Is it really any cooler - engine temp wise-running for the bike, in a meaningful way?

I was hoping to find a 10 Blue Sapphire fender, but I don't believe they are made OEM.

I don't like the look, personally. But it's your rideso if you like it, that is what counts.
What I am having a hard time understanding is the overheating issue. I've been here in Vegas for two summers now and have never overheated. Even been through Badwater at 117 degrees the first time and 122 degrees the second time. That was with stock cooling equipment and regular coolant. since a lot of people seemed to have cooling issues, I decided to use Engine Ice and definitely have not had problems. Goes to one mark below H in heavy traffic and when I start moving again cools off quick! but i do feel the heat coming off the engine though.

I never had overheating problems either but now with the ZX-10 fender it sits at one bar above cold at highway speeds and I've not seen it over half way at all.

Wow. Glad you all appreciate any development for our bikes.... Next time I'll remember not to invest my time or money for the benefit of others... LOL

I don't even own zx14 forks anymore, yet I made updated brackets after Compton complained of the old design, then he puts an 08 fender on it anyway..... go figure

The 08 / 09 fender zx10 is spread out at the bottom on every instal I have seen and it doesn't look like it fits properly at all, since it doesn't have the releif in it to clear the rotors.
in addition to an inch of clearance on the tire.
This is why i have not made brackets for the 08 fender. its not wide enough to fit the forks properly without distorting the fender, and that aspect is not visually appealing IMO.
When making products to sell, customers are extremely picky and have expectations that must be met without quaetion or headaches.

Got any front shots of the 08-09 fender ?

If I sound frustrated its because I am a little.

My bone stock white 07 with the bloated looking front
and incredibly bad looking exhaust.
There's absolutely nothing to look at...

For everyone who says this is not a better look... check your eyes

I think the zx10 fender looks much sportier in addition to functionality.
Especially the white front fender, it looks massive(white has that effect) .

Bikes look great guys, but I have to say the white bike benefits the most astheticaly... bike looks great Stan, much much better than stock.

Yep, big difference- the bike looks leaner and meaner
and more sports bike and less Goldwing...
