Looks like the front end is not strapped or lowered in that picture maybe that's not needed for struts & drag bars ?

My $0.02:
1- PURPOSE built, stretched/lowered drag bikes look bad ass and are THE way to go at the drag track.
2- Stretched and/or lowered street type bikes look strange (almost ugly IMHO) and are no longer worth shit for street riding.
3- Street bikes mildly modded and raced once in a while with the help of a wheelie bar give you the best of both worlds. The ability to launch harder at the drag track AND with 30 minutes work a very capable street bike canyon carver without the bar.
What's wrong with that?

Oh and I do wave at other bikes. ;o)

For some people it is about the challenge or perfecting their skill. That is what makes it fun to them.

For me, putting wheelie bars on my bike would take the fun out! Riding it on the edge, having it wheelie sometimes...that is fun!!

Just do whatever makes you happy...

I grew up around bar bikes but would never want one on mine. I like the ideal of riding in, riding out if I choose too. I don't have nothing against them...

KZScott...I was wondering, why add stretch to the bike when he uses a bar? Is it to accomndate a larger tire? I would think it would be faster SWB and a bar than stretched/bar? I could be totally wrong......

doesnt hit the bars as hard, much smoother. a short bike with bars, is prone to "pogo" on the bars as it hits them so hard the bike tries to pivot on the bars and not the rear tire, causing the tire spin. when it spins, it looses momentum, front end drops, tire hooks up, hits the bars again, spins, drop, wheelie again.....
the slick fits a stock wb bike fine, in fact, the guy that had my bike before me raced it stock wb, slick n bars(in 06)
