I know of a few 06-07 models that have the PC5 so I would say yes a 06-07 PC would work with the 09 just requires 09 map

I'm looking into buying one, but with just as much money going out as comming in I have no extra money. There are more for sale used for a 06 than there is for a 08.

I'd buy a pcV if I were you, unless I get a dirt cheap deal on a used pc3.

There's a guy on one of the other forums with a pcV for sale
but I won't post a link here since it often seems like spam.
The guy is accepting offers, look it up.

PC3 is the same on 06-07. It takes a different PC3 on the 08-09.

I was more interested in a pvIII bc I'm on a VEEERY tight budget and right now every penny counts. Email me the link please eklipse636 at hotmail

Jr didn't mean it that way, but I wasn't clear ab that. The pcv works for all years, that's why I didn't understand what the difference was in the pcIII's....

if it matters, I have a PCIII on my bike right now that came setup for a 2005 ZX10. The only difficulty was having to Cut n Paste the Muzzy map since it will not load listed as a ZX14 map. So I opened the muzzy map, highlighted it with a left click and "select all", "cut" then "paste"d it into a new map based off the pre existing loaded map on the PCIII. That should be how its done to make any PCIII work on any bike! Same for timing maps if your bike has the capability---- THOUGH I ALMOST FORGOT: the preset redline stays there. For me, that means I have a higher redline shown on my map than it will rev too so I just carried the last numbers down. If you tried to put a 14 PCIII on a bike that rev'd higher you would not be able to modify the fuel curve after the preset redline- unless there was a way to up the redline that I missed?

I believe there is a transistor wiring difference and they can not be interchanged.
