Two stories
1)
I was going north on highway 75 heading into town to meet a few friends for lunch. The speed limit goes from 60 to 55 off and on. Seeing as I was already running late and just learning about the police helicopters being grounded at offutt airbase I thought I would make haste. I come up behind this van and newer car pacing eachother in both lanes. I wait till one speeds up and blow in front of this van and make up lost time. I hit about 130 and come up to a blind hill, so I slow down to about 85. I look over and I see this state trooper going southbound. I slam on my brakes hoping to trick the radar. He lights em up and flips a U turn in the median and gets behind me, I started to pull over already knowing I'm fucked.
Officer "Sir, did you know you were going 82 in a 55, not to mention you were in a construction zone"
Me "Really?"
Officer "License and registration please, I dig in my pocket hoping I don't accidentally drop my brass knuckles out.
He walks back to his car and I see this van start slowing down and shes glaring at me. I'm thinking to myself.. Great this is that bitch I just cut off and now shes about to get some more shit put on me.
She comes out and starts walking at me. The officer gets out of his car
Lady "I had this biker just threaten to kill me"
Just at that moment a big dog chopper flys by us
Lady "THATS HIM"
The officer goes back to his cop car and radios in the situation. He comes back to ask the lady some questions
Officer "What type of bike was that?"
The lady just stood there in silence, I spoke up knowing what type of bike it was
Me "Yea, that looked like a blue big dog"
Officer "Harley davidson?"
Me "No, a big dog, its a custom"
Officer "Thank you"
The lady leaves and he comes back with my ticket. He said, I cut you a break for a couple reasons. I like your attitude and you could have blown my doors off, but didn't. He hands me a ticket. "I dropped it down to say you were only going 20 over and dropped off the extra for the construction zone, so instead of a 470$ ticket its now 170$"
So instead of getting a 470$ ticket I ended up getting to waste a Saturday and 98$ for a stop class.
2)
I decided to help my buddy change his oil on his 08 cbr1000. We went to advanced and picked up some Valvoline 10w40 and a fram motorcycle filter. We get back and I get it all changed after fucking with the plastics for 15 minutes. He starts it up and there this small rattle. At first I figured it was just the new oil getting to the top end. He gets off and the rattle is getting loud QUICK. I shut it off and im like what.. the.. fuck.. I get to thinking and I doubt the oil pump just decided to give out when we were changing the oil and the only other thing we changed was the oil filter that could effect pressure. The oil level was a little high, so it had plenty of oil. I pull the oil filter off and i could tell by the weight there was no oil in it. I told him a week ago NEVER to buy fram filters because I knew they were shit. We put the old one back on and start it up and in seconds the rattle goes away. We take the oil filter back, got a new one and threw that one on and it didnt make a peep. Thankfully he didnt burn anything!
For your bikes sake DONT BUY FRAM!!!

TRUE..............................I had the SAME thing happen with a FRAM filter. The bypass valve in the filter is defective. I actually sell Fram at my work and never recommend them to anyone. FRAM SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had nothing but bad experiences with fram canister filters on bikes. 2wice I almost crashed when the oil filter bursted dumping oil all over my rear tire coming off an off ramp 
Ran them on cars with no problems though lol. I stay away from them since my incidents! As for cops I stay as far away from them as possible!

i have been using oem filters but had picked up a fram cause thats what they had at cycle gear. now i'm wondering if i should even try to use it.
