8.86 with a not so great video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PuoirrBdE-A
This was'nt my best pass of the night but only video I got. This pass had a 60ft of 1.402.
The noisy bike in the left lane is a super fast 636 that has been 8.90's.

I know Shane I am actually stuck now on which gas to run. Orlando track sucks!!!! They use no VHT after the 330'. I changed my clutch springs to the HD brocks springs and really picked up MPH. With my old clutch springs it would take MR9 to run MPH like that. Oh and I weigh 139........hehehehe, forgot to mention that. I can't wait to run MR9 this fall and see what it will do.

Are you using heavy springs, or oem with spacers?
I have a variety of stuff here to try, including a lock up. I am hoping to equal your mph when it cools off a little. What was track temp/humidity?
My total weight, rider/bike is about 680-685. You should be similar, for the total weight, maybe a little bit less?

I am using the Brocks HD springs. I tried the OEM springs with spacers and did not notice any benefit. The humidy was 69% and the temp outside was around 90. I did not get the track temp. I know there has also been much debate on the 0 weight oils but I run the Mobil 0w20.

That is really ridiculously good mph for those conditions. Can you post your slip?

It was stuck around 150 with pump gas but I could MPH around 154 with MR9. I have not tried MR9 with my new springs yet.

Smokin, Did you see Steve on the 636's homeade lockup clutch? His clutch spacer was made of wood when he was in Bradenton. Nobody makes a lockup for his bike. Now he had one fabbed and its aluminum. He is a really cool guy. He is extremly knowledgable with the 600's.

I am at 66", the video is my first past at that wheelbase. I have been just as fast at 63" but too many wheelies so I decided to move it back a few more. My gearing is 16 on the front and stock 41 in the rear. I am going through the traps at 10,500-10,700 in 5th.

I bought them 1 month ago and they are about 3/4 of an inch longer than the stockers. I guess they are the new Brocks springs.

The slips look great! I'm at 64.25", but I'm reluctant to go any longer. It's tempting, though. My bike is very light up front.

I totally understand not wanting to go longer than 64" Shane. I was dead set against it also until I crashed. I just wanted to try the extra 3" but now I love it. It is not even challenging though to leave hard and I can't believe how hard you can leave just 3" longer.

I'm going to be adding a little gear. If I go up just a hair (17/45 to 16/43), it would put me very close to 65", if I don't shorten the chain. I'm going to consider it. My other option, 17/46 will shorten me down to about 64" even. Tough call.
