yoshi pipes
Can anyone with knowlege about slip ons give me some sound advice about yoshi pipes or something similar ? Im looking at the yoshi r77 slip ons for my stock 09 .I have heard that they can make the bottom end power a little weak is that true? How often do you have to repack the slip ons? and most important i dont want loud since i ride long rides.Im looking for something carbon fiber thats close to (loud) stock as i can find but has a little rumble. GOOD advice with experiance would be of great help.

I have the Yosh TRC carbon fiber slip-ons nad have had no issues with bottom end power. Have had them over a year now and no repacking required. They are not loud to the point of annoying, but if you want louder you can take the silencer out of the end cap. They are just a little louder than stock. Do a youtube search and you will find a few videos of the sound they make.
They do cause some popping on deceleration, but nothing too serious or to be concerned about.
I like that the CF doesn't get too hot and cools really quick after riding. The stock is hot as the sun for a long time.

i have a yosh full R77 carbon, the muffler is the same as slip on.they came with a baffle that you can remove esealy.with baffle on the sound is just a little bit louder than stock,with no baffle the sound still acceptable for street use(i do some long ride to and never put the baffle on).they are well built and i dont need to repact it at 13000 KM. for bottom power i did not notice any loss (but no dyno).i think all aftermarket muffler made poping

Shane who are you???Bad attitude i have lol?If you could read and have some comprehension about the advise some people give on this site you would understand the statement GOOD advise.People post staments here that often could not be farther from the the truth.I have no attitude i simply wanted someone that could help me out with the pipes that im looking for and i got some really good advise from the top two gentlemen,But like all cool sites theres always one person with one huge mouth and on this site the mouth belongs to you.

Thanks for the yoshi advice.I have been looking at this site for eight months and learned alot bofore buying the 14.great advice and some cool people here.i did mention though that there was from time to time some bad advice.example the never ending thread about oil when most people dont know that the 14 as well as ducati and many other motorcycles come from the factory wth synthetic oil. no need to worry about using it to soon and riding back through the blue smoke.if that happend it wasnt because of the oil.I have seen shanes build thread from day one.hes the wanna be mac daddy of this site but in the end the bike was still not that fast. i hate braggers but i owned a blown alky dragster for eight years that took a three man team to operate and the hundreds and pro stock bikes i have seen makes me just not all that impressed.I can send him a pic of some real power if he wants but with a thread like his and a mouth like his im sure he suffers from a small penis

LOl i fully understand the slip ons i was asking about how loud they were how often they needed to be repacked.Dude your bike is simply not fast after all that wasted money.if you were truly a guru as some seem to think you are you would have spent more money on a better cylinder head and cams the fundamentals of hp.And still running gasoline lol. your disappointed with your ET slip its ok.That bog off the line can be fixed with some more clutch skills and better gearing,.your basic knowledge.Still though what you built will just never be that fast. i will say you did a nice job and i have to give you that. peace. sorry about the penis point that was funny but not cool.

I had Yoshi and they were great. Quiet, almost = to OEM, and no issues at all with lowend. IN fact the Yoshi's (as well as about any after market pipe) added power with a PC, when tuned for the change. Just about 10 hp top and IDR on the bottom end TQ.
