For giggles I pulled the baffle out of my SMEG today for the 1st time. Loaded up the closest map I could and headed off to make a pass.
I had full wood moments after I hit the ignition - WHAT A SOUND!!! Even the Top Fuel bike guys heads were turning to see what was making the noise!
Full wood became painful when I blipped the throttle. Complete release occurred when I rolled off the throttle and the engine decompressed - A LARGE GLOWING FIREBALL 6-8" beyond the end of the pipe!
I spent the next 5-10 minutes cruising pit lane revving the hell out of the bike and setting fire to small bushes! Aaaaah, post coital bliss! Anyone have a wet-wipe?
If you have an exhaust that you can pull the baffle out, please do so at least once. Do NOT do this on public streets - you will destroy the hearing of the general public, the police will hear you from miles away and come straight to you and you'll probably set your pants on fire!
Oh - don't really remember if it helped my ET, but really, I didn't care!
